Need some BG 19 helpFollow

Okay...I've got a few qestions to ask and I'm hoping someone who knows obout it will be able to help. ATM I'm using a generic pair of "of the monkey" gloves
while I wait for my druid to farm enough red whelp scales for me to make a pair
of Red Whelp Gloves. For those who don't know about this item here are the stats:

Red Whelp Gloves (BOE)
52 Armor
Durability 25/25
Req. lvl 19
Equip: 5% chance of dealing 15 to 25 Fire damage on a successfull melee attack.

Now of course I can get these enchanted with some +agility to make up for its
lack of stat boosts. But here's my question...is it worth it to take these
instead of something "of the monkey"? I've been told two different conflicting
bits of information over this. One view is that since they would only add about 1 dps if you look at the damage numbers and that any "of the monkey" gear would be more benefitial. Now the other...which I'm more inclined to agree with, is that these would be much better. Because in WSG at 19, resists are almost non existant and that any pure +damage (thru agi boosts) would be mitigated by armor. Also, with a fast dagger in the main hand (I plan on using Sentinal's dagger from honor rewards) it would be even better. My real plan is to enchant both weapons with fiery and I also always use Slice and Dice as my finisher. Some people prefer evicerate but I actually out damage many rogues with this instead...and I figure that with 2 fiery enchants and this pair of gloves...something would proc about every hit (I've heard this is true and plan on trying it out). Any information or input from other rogues would be greatly appriciated.

When you say you out-damage many rogues with slice and dice, do you mean in pvp or pve?
