Hello,
I see a lot of posts about weapons, and it seems that axes (both 1H & 2H) are recommended frequently. But I have a human warrior, and they get a racial bonus for swords and maces. Is it better to go with a very good axe and not worry about the sword/mace bonus, or go with an average sword/mace with the bonus? I'm sure it depends on the actual weapon, but I guess what I need to know is if the bonus really makes that much of a difference.
If I should stay with maces/swords, are there any weapons you'd recommend looking for outside of raids? I am a blacksmith as well, so I can/will be able to craft weapons if you know of anything good on the crafting front.

I guess it all depends on what you like to use. They ultimately do that same damage in the end minus proc's and what not. If you go the craftable route, stick with Maces and work towards the Stormherald. First you have to craft Thunder>Deep Thunder>Stormherald. Pretty sweet imo. The mace spec gives you the added stun, and the sword spec gives you the extra attack.

The human racial boost for sword/mace is not enough, standing alone, to determine your weapon of choice.
I personally pick my build based on the best weapon[s] I can find at the time, which are often not a sword/mace (e.g., ice barbed spear [polearm]).

You get a 6% increase to your total DPS from a +5 skill racial. Nothing to frown at. Not to mention maces are very sought after once you get to the point where 2h fury is the best option. Thunder (and its upgrades... obviously) and that World Breaker (or what ever...) being the most enjoyable ones.
For leveling I'd recommend speccing poleaxe, since it applies to 3 weapon types rather than 2. It doesn't mean you can't use a sword or mace for a couple of levels though...

Xordon, when you say 3 weapon types are you breaking "Axes" down into 2h and 1h? Just curious thats all.
Aye, that's it. Bunch of scrubs used to DW axes and skip rampage for weapon spec. Undoubtably nice for keeping flurry up, but not advisable imo.
Oh, and I always do that. Break the specs up I mean. Sword spec = 1h and 2h swords (2x types), Mace spec = 1h and 2h maces (2x types), Poleaxe spec = 1h and 2h axes and polearms (3x types). The latter clearly superior when you're leveling and swapping your gear alot.

As far as I see it for MS warrior (2H):
- mace - PvP
- sword - PvP/PvE
- axe - PvE ( but some say its useless specc :P)
I was leveling with all of them - the best weapon is more important then specc.
Now I tend to use sword specc.
