I am now to a point where i feel comfortable being main tank, with about 18-20k armor marked (depending on which staff I use) 12.5k health marked and 399 defense rating. The only piece I really need is the Iron Band that drops in Durn which will give a needed armor boost, and almost get me to the 415 defense rating. However, what is considered necessary for a Kara level druid tank? I won't be main tanking kara anytime soon, but I do plan on offtanking, so what do you think is the minimum for:

HP
Armor
Defense Rating
Dodge
Hit Rating

I don't know for sure what my dodge and hit rating are off the top of my head, but the armory should give you a rough idea if you want to check it out. Any suggestions appreciated.

Before we got our Heavy Clefthoof armor buff, I was tanking in Kara at about 18k armor you are fine. Is the 12.5k health in bear form? If so then that is a little low. Combine this with not being crit-immune yet and you are asking for trouble.

Bare minimums (or "bear" minimums lol) I would say buffed you should have 20k armor, 15k health & 415 defense.

i started tanking, mostly OT but some MT, as a non-prot spec (arms/fury arena spec) warrior with around 12k health buffed. thats stam buff and commanding shout and mark (no imp buff). had around 11.5k armor too i believe, but was crit immune thru defense.

parry makes up for a decent amount of statistical loss, but id say 13k health buffed should be ok. keyword being should. but first priority should be to get crit immune asap.
