Duel Wield or Two hand?Follow

#1 Aug 14 2007 at 1:45 PM Rating: Decent
I've been wondering which of these to do. I am currently using 2 Maces and they're working great for me (alot of crits). Suggestions?

Also, this is my current build:

Should I focus more into Arms or Fury?

39 views and no one has an answer?

Guess I'll have to look through the massive amounts of threads. Atleast comment on my talent spec. Give me pointers/ suggestions.

It all depends, it's a matter of taste really. With DW, you will produce rage more quickly, and so you can spend it on abilities more often, but you WILL miss, a lot, because of the lack of +hit at lower levels.

IMO DW starts to shine in the higher levels, with all the +hit and all, and it is definetely a contender for top DPS in warrior terms (if not THE dps build for the warrior)

With Arms (or 2H fury) the damage will be more "constant" (as in lack of the massive miss streak of DW) but your rage generation will be more spiked.

I'd say try them both, and see what fits your playing style the most.

About your build, you should really focus on one tree while leveling, because spreading yourself like that, will only make you weaker in all aspects, and strong in none. Besided, it's better to reach your talented instant as soon as possible.

What do i recommend? 2H fury all the way to 40, and then you can make up your mind about switching to arms for MS or scale all the way to rampage.

I guess it's better if you wait for a more experienced opinion from some other warrior.

Thanks for your suggestion! I have decided to do Fury while levling and then move onto Arms. Mainly because my Gear and weapons blow at there level and won't get the large boost in damage/crits that better weapons get. While I do miss a bit, it's not that often. I duel Maces right now, and most of swings are hits with alot being crits (I got up to 185 on one). I took out a level 32 Ally Shammy (with me at 28) with my Maces.

PvE for now.

I will spec Arms when I get into PvP.

I am told by alot of people that DW is good for leveling, but noone has really told me how to DW. Essentially what weapons to use for what hand, which ones are more effective in DW (i.e. Swords, Maces, Axes etc). I am also told I should spec Fury for leveling.

Also, here's my current equipment and Talent specs:

i believe that the best idea is to have a slower weapon in the main hand(so your special moves do more dmg) and a fast weapon in the off hand(for increased rage generation)

edit: by slow i mean 2.60 or slower, and by fast around 1.70 or faster (smaller speed means faster swings btw)
