So I'm now level 39, equipped with a Crusader enchanted Whirlwind axe, and some decent gear. I've started being asked to actually DPS in instances now, and to my great surprise, I dish out an amazing amount - despite the recent WF nerf.

The lowest damage % I've done, according to the damage meter, is 39% - and that was with a group of higher levels, all enchanted with fiery and what not.

I know, it's very much likely going to change, but how much will it? I just ran three RFD runs, with me two-hand main tanking, while Whirlwind and Cleave spamming (Wf with cleave), and I came out as 46% damage done, against a Retri Paladin, Enhancement Shaman and a Elemental Shaman - all with pretty amazing gear.

I also just bought Executioners Cleaver, and plan on enchanting it with crusader aswell, in hopes of keeping my damage up there. How soon are it to change, because I'm really enjoying it.

Best regards,
Nicky.

Any weapon with a speed greater than 3 is worth slamming. Vs. one mob, Slam will do loads of damage. Cleave is great, but situational. So cleave and WW when there are more mobs (assuming the tank's ok with it) and Slam when there's only one mob. If the tank wants you to attack one target rather than cleaving about the whole instance, Slam is your friend. It's awesome one-target DPS, when timed right.

noobish question about slam.

when I saw a casting time, I feared it would be interrupted by enemy attacks. I know my hunters steady shot can be interrupted. Is slam usable in solo play (or as a tank- but I'm not specced for tanking as I just respecced again)? I should have no problem with the timing, as I'm used to timing steady shot. If I was a tank, I would have too much other crap to worry about though. I gave up on being a tank, I just can't get the equipment together and I'm too poor. So I respeccd to fury again, as it was painful levelling as protection. I kept dying.

Slam is not susceptible to pushback, though I'd imagine it can be stunned to interrupt.
