Smithing... armor or weapon?Follow

Earlier today I dropped mining to pick up blacksmithing (I have engineering for my secondary) so far in the last 20 minutes I've grinding out 90 points and am done with playing wow for tonight, will probably get to 200 tomorrow, hopefully around 325 or more by Wednesday...

So my question is, what should I go for.

My current guild atm has been clearing kara for a few weeks and we're putting in attempts into Gruuls lair now. Personally, I've seen everything through (including) SSC and TE with my old guild, but that really has no meaning right now, esp since I didn't get any gear from it. Right now I'm running at around 1600 AP with 28% to crit in battle along with a bit over 190 hit. using decapitator and merciless off hand for my weapons, obviously full fury :)

I'm not sure if I want to just farm for a Gorehowl and call it that for my 2h'er to respec arms for fun/arenas for a bit and just go armor smithing to make stuff like bulwark of the kings, etc. or go weapon smithing to pick up the 2h axe or mace... on one side, the best 2h i can get right now is GH, which pales in comparison the the craftables... on the other hand, my chest is kind of sucky [using chest of adal], i don't do THAT much arenas and even if i were to go weapon smithing to get the better upgrades I'd need some nether vortexes from SSC at which point I may as well just wait for the 2h's in there...

thoughts, comments, would be much appreciated.

also re: farming for the ore, etc in outlands will be no problem, my 70 alt is a tailor / miner rogue

ok, you seem to have plenty of crit, so you don't really need the axes.... go MACE! unless you NEED the fear resist of lionheart for 2v2 or 3v3 arenas. you should be able to make do with whatever chestpeice you can get from heroics, or even doomplate chestguard. fury... dragonmaw has another haste/flurry proc. arms... thunder has the best stats, the only one with stam, and its the slowest ie the hardest hitting.
either that, or if you don't plan on upgrading them right away with 8 primal nethers, don't waste the money on the recipes and mats for any of them. all the boe crafted weapons any bs can make.

uhm as you lvl up your skill pay attention, there are some blue bop recipes you may want to make to lvl your skill, i've seen too many players offer to sell them on trade channel (myself included).

Armoursmith or Macesmith. Crafted weapons are the best you can get pre-kara (unless you'd like to grind heroic BM). Post-kara however, armour matters more. I'd go armoursmith personally.
