Small math things...Follow

Just a few comments to clear up misconceptions I've seen in relations to math in a lot of posts recently...

"1 Agi = 2 AP"
1 Agility = 1 Ranged Attack Power. It does not do 2, and hasn't since either patch 2.0 or the Burning Crusade.

"Of course I get some strength for my pet"
Strength does not benefit your pet, it recieves bonuses from your ranged attack power, and strength only adds to melee attack power. For hunters, it is 1 MAP, which agility adds 1 MAP, so if you want to melee get agility, as it adds to crit and dodge.
On that note, don't melee. I was just saying that to prove that strength is useless. (for more information, see petopia)

"BD Reduces the focus regeneration to every 2 seconds instead of every 4"
Beastial Discipline does not increase the frequency at which your pet gains focus, but rather the amount per tick. Instead of going from 25 every 4 seconds to 25 every 2 seconds when you put in 2/2 BD, it goes up to 50 every 4 seconds. Long term - same difference. Short term - big difference (especially in relation to claw/gore).

"0.0 seconds growl, 1.5 seconds claw, 3.0 seconds claw, 4.5 seconds claw, 6.0 seconds growl..."
Growl is not on the Global CoolDown (meaning your pet's focus gets eaten up faster than if you assume growl is on the GCD).

"Sucks that wind serpents are casters"
Not all pets of a certain type are going to be caster pets. Just because one wind serpent is doesn't mean they all are. (Again, check petopia for more info).

I've found my scorpid will overtake my owl in damage after about 6 seconds and over time will do 30-40% more damage!
If I pop BW, AotH and Bladefists Breadth before I send him it, he can do 50-60% more damage for the duration of the fight, huge increase!
