ok, so i've busied myself with grabbing as much of the loot for dw dps off xordon's loot list. i've gotten maybe half of the list, a few pieces from the group quests but nothing from the heroics, most notably i got exalted with aldor for the vindicator's brand and i'm halfway to exalted with consortium for the guile of khoraazi.

anyway, as the fury warrior in my guild, i want to know how much AP i should have pre-kara. i asked my guild's pvp 2h arms/fury warrior how much AP he has self-buffed, and he told me around 1800 (this includes battleshout, deathwish and trinkets). self-buffed i have around 2100 AP. good, bad, ok, or what?

1400 completely unbuffed in battle stance is the status quo for DW fury. Also 10% total to hit and 25-26% crit in battle stance.

make sure you have over 150 hit rating pre kara gear (easy)

make sure you have over 25% crit in zerker (also easy for dw'ing)

make sure you have over 1800 ap in zerker self buffed (also VERY easy with shout)

everything is rather simple to get... as far as what to choose over the other, it depends on your fury spec.

in any scenario you should be stacking hit over everything else. your ideal number is rather high however at 250-280ish, but 150 is a nice place to start.

if you're specced impale, concentrate more on your crit and then ap, if not, concentrate on your ap over crit.

I found that crit over AP however is generally a much bigger boost to dps at the level you are but they balance out later on and ap becomes a much bigger role.

to maximize dps in raids, make sure you have trinkets like the hourglass of the unraveler since raid buffed i hope you will have over 25% crit, and it's up quite often (+300 AP right there)

as far as use trinkets, I'd recommend the abacus of violent odds until you can pick up the one off gruul. use it every time it is up, with flurry it'll be a huge increase to dps. couple that with haste pots for reck executes and pop bloodrage and good luck not stealing aggro ;). for one handers you'd be a lot better going with the gladiator 1h's as they don't take too long to get, and heroic 1h's are a bit better than that sword.

lastly for being a raid fury DW'ing warrior, do NOT be afraid to use leather. you should NOT be getting hit in melee at all during this fight, and even if you are, only having 2 pieces or so isn't bad.

the most notable pieces are the legs (midnight legguards) and gloves (assassination gloves) if there are rogues or druids in your group that want them over you, give it to them obviously, but try to get them, as theyre far superior to most other pieces. the plate legs off heroic mech are nice too but theyre much more focused on 2h'er dps.
