get the Merciless Gladiators Tunic for my PVE gear and it makes me feel gross inside.
Getting PvP gear for PvE seems weird... but I cannot for my life get the Conniver chest piece to drop off of Nightbane...
And my guild is struggling in SSC now so I can't see me getting that chest piece either.
I have to get rid of the stupid tunic of assassination... it's even gemmed stupid.
I know the merciless gear is wtfamazing, but I don't know. I cringe when I see people in full merciless trying to DPS in a raid. Just seems... wrong.

If it's better then what you're wearing, go for it.
I'm using my merciless chest piece for pvp. I'd sure as hell take Nightbane's chestpiece or the T4 chest piece instead, but until then, it sure as hell is better then assassination was ;p.

Using it as side grade is nothing wrong as long as you are going for something else but just cant get it to drop. Also... No Mag for T4?

Yea, assassination. Especially because I'm not getting any set bonus with it.

You can replace gems you regret putting. Open the socketing menu and drag another gem over the old gem. You will get a confirmation message if you want or not to replace the gem. The old gem gets destroyed.

Just a shame that it doesn't proc of Garotte. Especially if you have a druid tanking, the +30% dmg on bleed effects is mighty useful... that and the fact that you can't cheapshot bosses.
I'm still wearing Warden's Hauberk... It feels embarressing wearing a lvl 62 piece at 70 but, compare it to the Tunic of Assassination and it definatley seems like a decent piece.
And as daskallu says, you can replace gems. You can even pickpocket the odd green gem which can make stuff like +3 Agi, +3 Hit and +6 hit... not too shabby considering how easy they are to find / buy off AH.
Glad I'm not the only one who hates my chestpiece. Conniver won't drop, my guild isn't on Mag yet. Saving my points for a S2 Slicer right now, but next up is the chestpiece.
I'm not spending gold to replace a gem on a piece I'm desperate to replace :P
