HasteFollow

Was just looking at some haste items and I started thinking. If you had the Abacus of the Odds trinket http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28288 and the Dragon Trophy http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28830, then made a macro that uses haste potion + Blade Flurry + Abacus, with SnD up, and with a lucky proc from the dragon trophy, you would have +985 haste plus the 20% and 30% increased attack speed from flury and SnD you would be moving at the speed of light!

Just wondering if anyone has tried it. If you have, how awsome was it?

Edit: spelling

I've done something similar. SnD, Blade Flurry, D3 CS/KS Haste, and the Drakefist haste proc (still workin on the Abacus). Think I went from 2.70/1.50 spd to a 1.25/.70 spd. It was awesome.

There is a reason why I still head back to DM you know...

And for those of you that are still putting +agi over +haste enchants, get a clue :)

Haste to gloves doesn't out scale 15agi or 26ap to gloves until you are wearing very high quality gear (read: hyjal and BT). It's silly to use haste enchants if you don't have the gear to back it up. Static haste is amazing; however, like many other things in this game you have to be smart about it - and it scales differently than many other gear augmentations. If you think that a arcanum of rapidity (10 haste rating to helm or pants) is in any way better than the 16hit + 34ap helm enchant, or the 50ap + 12crit enchant for pants you are doing some mighty fine drugs (and you should give me some of them!). Haste is great, and while 10 haste actually holds up fairly well to the above enchants, it won't out scale them for quite a while. I know it's possible to have the 10 haste to gloves enchant be better than say 15agi/26ap. However, I'm not sure that 10 haste to helm/pants will outscale the top of the line BC enchants for those spots. Both of these enchants are worlds better than the best glove enchant that you can get. Both drop my buffed DPS by about 20 when I replace my helm/leg chant with them.

Yes, I realize that, but haste scales better than the static enchants in general and increases combat potency procs (dont know about sword spec), assuming you are following the Combat aspect for PvE (which pretty much all raiding Rogues do).

I'm excited to get to Mt. Hyjal, some really nice stuff drops there with a passive haste added to it.

Makes me all excited inside. :O

You're right. Unfortunately the haste enchants from pre BC are so low level that they aren't better than the current BC enchants (for helm/legs that is). Out of all the DPS enchants, haste does scale the best. The problem is that with current itemization, you can't get gear which makes the haste libram better than the current helm/leg enchants. It doesn't really matter how awesome the haste libram is when you have 5000ap and 308 hit with 35% crit.... because you can't get to that gear level. I'm merely trying to point out that the libram that your talking about is a poor choice for a helm/leg enchant as long as you can get the other enchants (even 40ap/10 crit is better on legs). I'm not saying that haste is a bad stat itself (hardly). I'm just saying that you are comparing 2 enchants that are completely different in level.

Very true, but I am currently casual/on and off on my Rogue, so me farming for the mats (albeit relatively cheap) is kind of a waste of time. But I guess I play towards my Combat Potency more than than actual pewpew-ing.
