I have run all 5man instances on normal mode on my resto druid, got almost all possible blues i needed. All upgrades that i can find are either exalted reputation rewards (working on it atm) or in heroics and Kara.
The question is how much +healing and states should i have to even try running Kara as 2nd healer? I have only one epic, its http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=31335&locale=enUS;source=live

Better than just giving us a link to an item, I'd suggest giving a link to your Armory so we can actually take a look at your character as a whole, so we can check all stats at once.
Numbers I've heard are around:
+1000 Healing
100 Mp5 (While casting)
8000-9000 mana pool.
6000-7000 health.
Of course, the more the better. In the case of my Holy Pally, I find that the PvP bracers, boots and belt are all better than the healing plate dropping in Kara for those slots. It may be your case as well so I'd suggest checking that out, since PvP gear is relatively easy to get, although it takes some time.
