Of course we wouldn't know. It's only the single most important talent in the Beastmastery tree. This is our talent tree. Read the talents in the Beastmastery tree. Most importantly, read the ones dealing with Beasts and Wrath.

The "The Beast Within" talent makes the hunter immune to all roots, snares, traps, and whatnot. It only lasts a few seconds, and has a 2 minute cooldown. Easy to tell when a hunter is under the effect of this spell because he turns bright red.

There are meta gems that give increased resistance to roots, snares, and stuns. "Enigmatic Skyfire Diamond" to give an example.

SURVIVAL offers "Surefooted", which gives up to 15% chance to resist "movement impairing effects"

A survival hunter has easily a 20% resistance, without even considering possible dodges, misses, or maybe even racial resistance to stuns. I think it could be enough to make somebody appear immune.

Sometimes there is more to a question than it initially seems. Of course we wouldn't know, because we spend more time trying to appear smart than actually addressing the problem or question.

I have to defend North here. The OP said immune. That implies the word "Immune" appearing above the target when the attempt is made to trap, stun, whatever. In that case, North's assumption is probably the correct diagnosis.

However, it *IS* possible the OP was referring to a battle effect, the target running over a trap and 'resist' appearing (which is not immune, that is resistance) above the target. That being the case, Kanngarnix's assumptions would be correct and it might be one of the things Kanngarnix pointed out.

So, either way, lots of assumptions are being made and the OP has the answers to figure out which assumption or combinations of assumptions is right and we only hope zhok will let us know...

True. I did in fact assume Immunity was the intended effect. If resist, then of course there are several other nice little additions to the discussion. Engineering items, general resists, and a few talents. But I know of only ONE talent that provides the Hunter itself with Immunity against all CC. And that is The Beast Within. 18 seconds is alot, and with the amount of Damage you can pound out during those 18 seconds, it is usually enough to be an "I Win" button against most classes.

Well I've tried this to. Jumped on a fellow Dwarven hunter, at it clearly wrote "Immune" when he got into my trap

could have also been a Free Action Potion. Simple alchemy potion that makes the imbiber immune to stun and other movement impairing effects for 30 seconds.
