Well, just hit 70 on my third toon (yay) and was wondering a couple things.

Firstly: is there a place for a Felguard in a raiding build? I love Demonology spec and will be keeping it, but if there is no lace to use a Felguard in raids/heroics then I will be tweaking it a bit and putting more points into Affliction: particularly to get Siphon Life. This is what I was thinking of doing should I respec out of Felguard:

Secondly: I was wondering what would be the optimal stats for starting Kara as a Lock? I have a Paladin tank in Kara now, but that's totally different :P What would be some suggested items to get also? If some of you wouldn't mind :)

EDIT: There, think it's there now, lol.

No thoughts on Felguard in raids at all? And Shadow Embrace, where would you suggest taking the 1 point out of and why?

They all think felguard is worthless in raids. In general opinion you can be
1) raiding lock with full affliction or little bit of demo/ destro combo
2) the rest of us dont matter

hey.
I have come to lv 70 with a 20/41/0 spec (-->felguard), and I have used the felguard in normal instances, where it totally rocks. That is, if you can handle it. (taunt and cleave only when appropriate :) also the charge ability can be kinda stupid, it happened that the guard just charged at a sheep and went back to the mob he was beating on).
So, in normal instances you can have a REALLY good time with the felguard (e.g. in SL you virtually don't need CC anymore, you can down 2 mobs on your own :D), but for heroics it's not so useful, as the mobs there will kill it kinda rapidly.
HOWEVER in a Kara raid, if there's another WL who can put out the imp for the sta buff, the felguard again can be used with great profit. You just need to persuade your raid, but a look at the damage meter will do the job (In this raid, I was 2nd and my felguard 5th). But in everything above normal instances (hero, kara etc), the guard doesnt't do the "tank" job anymore, it just can serve as a DD, which it does great, admittedly, but not more.
That is why I switched to an affliction spec, which is better concerning my own dmg output, and also for bossfights (dark pact etc).
hope that'll help a bit

THank you :) Yes, that is more what I was looking for. I think I'll give it a bit more though, as I am getting keyed, then make my decision on whether to respec or not. thanks again

Oh ok, I just re-read those talents. Shadow Embrace is a debuff placed on the target of those DoTs then yes? Yea, I think the 5% more drained would be worth the 1 point drop in Suppression.
