dear fellow healing druids,
At the moment im using an straight forward healing build. everything dumped into the restor tree besides few points in natures grasp.
I've got to say i like it, not having problems at all healing so far.
Our guild is now pretty much farming karazhan / gruul / working on magh and preparing for SSC.
Raid buffed ive got 181mp/5 and sadly only 1200some healing so far.
Now for my question tho,
The dreamstate build, is that still viable at Magh, SSC and so on or do you think that the true power of an healing druid is simply in his Hot's and should the dreamstate build be seen as an sort or less gimped Pala with his 1,5sec heal spams?
The reason for asking is ive tried this build before and i liked it because it gave me the extra +healing / mana regen i needed at that moment and simply because of the fact i was able to grind (highest alt just 42)

Dreamstate build? You mean that build with big reductions to Healing Touch costs?
I can't tell really if it's viable or not, but all Resto Druids I know who are up there are all Resto Druids with ToL form. Maybe it's some sort of coincidence, I dunno.
However, without any deep number-crunching, I would think ToL Druids remain more mana-efficient than HT Spam Druids, and their healing potential should also be better. Maybe some more experienced Druids could prove me wrong though, like I said, I'd need to check some numbers and my mind isn't quite up to the task this morning.
Just a quick question about your stats, when you say 181mp/5, you do mean while casting right? Not just the bigger number shown by the tooltip?
If that's the case I'd just try to work on +Heal and push it a few 100's higher and I think you'd get awesome results. Just some random thoughts, but I think it could help.

i mean indeed while casting yeah, and still lacking at least 2 enchants and an item that i can replace any day, then ill be sitting at 191mp/5 while casting or some.
And indeed most i know are also ToL, friend of mine has always used the dreamstate build tho, pretty much the most well known healing druid on his server.
The + of the builds are that youll get around 40/50 mp/5 while casting more and extra + healing
