feral pvp openerFollow

Hi there

Im buiding a druid on a pvp server and I need some help finding my opener as a cat in pvp. I just picked up pounce and Im thinking about opening the fight with pounce and then shred attack.
This is here I need help: Would it be better to start with ravage ( it would be against mages cause of blink I think)?

Im ofc assuming to be prowling

Another thing is if u guys consider Faerie Fire as a pvp and soloing ability. I mean should u use it in pvp?

Im looking forward to any answers that could help me ...

I prefer pounce as an opener against all classes, even mages. The reason is using pounce will force the mage to use blink early on, and since it has a fairly long cooldown, they won't be able to use it again right away.

The exception to this is when a class is sitting, such as when a mage is drinking/eatting. When a target is sitting, your first attack will automatically crit. This makes ravage a good choice since you will get a very large opening hit (Ravage requires a crit for it to do more damage then pounce)

FF is a good tool for soloing, since it allows you to do ranged pulls in forms. In PvP, it's only really effective against rogues and other druids. I still use it frequently in PvP however since it's free and it does help a small amount against my target.

A lot of people use ravage on mages since they can blink out of pounce. I do if I think of it, but usually I just pounce because it's the most convenient hotkey. But, it's amazing how many mages don't blink right away. I can usually get in at least a shred.

On most targets my opener is FF/Mangle/Shred/shred again if OoC procs.

Yes, you should ALWAYS use FF on targets that it affects. And ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use it on rogues. They hate that.

If you Pounce a Mage and they blink out of it, you can then Feral Charge them (root for five seconds) and Bash them (stun for five seconds) and they can't do anything about it. It's a rather nice trade-off!

Once again thx for the answers even though the comments on FF varies a litlle. I guess all druids dont agree on wether to use it in pvp against non rogues...

Another thing is : Do u pop Tigers Fury or u consider it a waste of good energy points. Im having a hard time figuring if its worth to pop just before pouncing .. what u guys think?
