okay, so I wanted to try a priest, and as I always do, I make the talent-build before even creating the char.

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=rZf0xhZEMMtMtR0tEo

Will be for soloing untill 70 (I will probably keep it at 70)

its also for PvE as DPS (if I can find a guild that would let me ^^)

feel free to critisize (typo?) it :)

oh, and btw, I really cant make up my mind if I want to be UD or BE? its Will of the Forsaken + Devouvering Plague >< Consume magic + Arcane Torrent.

Is Devouvering Plague really a (racial) spell thats worth having as SP? or is it better with Arcane Torrent?

Hope you got some good advice for me :)

(Btw, look in my sig, im not new at this game, just new to priests)

EDIT: Does Blackout proc from SW:P, Dev. Plague, Vampiric Touch and Mind Flay?

that is a decent build. but to be honest IMO if you are going to be soloing and want dps and whatnot. i would recomend this build.

shadow/dsc

if you are going to be soloing you will want your shield improved as much as possible. and you will want spell dmg. plus the better fort will give you a better stam buff for life. cause lets face it. if you have a grip of mana but not stam for life. you wont live to use all that mana.

As far as racials are concerned, WotF wins by far. And devouring plague is an added bonus. Think; do you REALLY want to get close enough to use Arcane Torrent? That's practically melee range.

Plus, you can eat corpses to regain health. It doesn't sound like it would help much, but it sure does. In PvP it's like a free self-heal, since everyone is a humanoid, you can eat anyone's corpse.

I haven't had time to look at your build yet but I read this:

As a SP, all the damage that you can throw at a target without over agro is the best. The racials for the Undead are by far geared towards a SP. As for the blood elf, there racials are geared more towards healing for pve.

Overall, the racials really don't make that big of a difference to be uber bad *** racial. Play what ever race that you would want to look at and play for a while.

You're gonna have to face the fact that no planned build will last you from 10-70 and that you will respec numerous times.

As far as PvE you have one major glaring problem, you don't have *any* shadow focus. It doesn't sound like a flashy talent and from levels 10-58 it isn't, but when you hit outland if you don't have at least 3/5 you'll be getting resisted left and right. All that +dmg doesn't count for anything if the mobs keep resisting your spells.

And like always I suggest against any type of Holy/Shadow build since you can't get the benefits of holy while in shadowform.

Thanks all! :)

I just thought that Blessed Recovery would be something neat :)

and btw, Mookus, my druid (70, see my sig :) ) still has the build it "started" with, and havent respecced yet ;)

Thekingcartel, sahme on you for linking to worldofwarcraft.com, it takes AGES for it to load, and as we speak, it still loads 0_O, so I cant see what build you have made :(

Kevinisinuse -> meh, ive been playing feral druid and arms warrior too much, so maybe thats why I didnt think of the range ^^

and if I ever want to heal in pve (wich could be a possibility) I would maybe regret taking a UD over a BE, since consume magic and arcane torrent gives quite a bit of mana back, but then again, there is the range, and melee range as a healer = ouch!

Thanks for your comments/replies, they are much appreciated :)

EDIT: thekingcartel, I can now see your build ( :) ) and I was just wondering why you havent taken Spirit Tap? lack of points? or?

yeah.lack of points. but one that i did forget to add in there is Inner Focus, cause that is way helpful. i just took a point away from shadow focus.

but again this is just my opinion. hehe.
