felhunter problemsFollow

This is my first toon (42 warlock) and for some reason i can't get my felhunter. I've done all my warlock quest and nothing. So i wanted to know if it's alout beter than the void walker. I need to redo my talents anyways and i just wanted to know if not haveing a felhunter will mess me up bad enough that i'd need to put the 40 talent points into demon specs to make up the diffrence. So let me know if any one eles has had this problem or I'm willing to take any sugestions.

The felhunter isn't better so much as different then the VW. Voidwalkers are made for tanking and felhunter is really for PvP against rogues and casters. But you should petition if you're having a problem getting any of your pets. That is really something a GM needs to look into.

If your going to PVP you will need this pet. The Felhunter's only real job is to shut down casters. It has situational use in PVE but a very pivital role in PVP.

If you are a warlock without all of his demons, then you are a bad warlock. The felhunter is great for fighting casters. It is very easy to get especially since you are level 42 now and it is a level 30 pet.

Are you sure you finished the quest? You summoned the Fellhunter and killed it, then went back to the questgiver?

Been a while since I've done it, but I think that's how you do it.

In theory you can abandon the last level of the quest (which is killing the fellhunter, if you have done that - and it didn't work) - and redo that part (and not the whole thing). Just be very sure which quest you are abandoning (you don't want to have to redo the whole quest, so be careful).

Fellhunter is not needed in pve.

In pvp he is very useful against casters. You save the silence attack the fellh has for key moments - to stop a rival warlock from fearing you - to stop a nearly death healer type from healing himself - to stop a mage from pyroing or polying you - and so on. You have to practice to learn which spells are best to silence (go into settings and click on the setting that lets you see which spell your target is casting - helps TONS - or get a mod that does this).

You don't use him to eat fear/hunters off yourself?
Devour magic is a nice support tool to keep teammates alive as well.
