New to rogue...Follow

OK, I'm sure this has been covered many times, but I just recently rolled a rogue to party with my girlfriend who just started playing. From what I have read combat swords is the way to go for lvling. I made the grind to 70 as a pally, so I know about that part, but I do enjoy pvp (which is fun as pally, but I suspect dealing damage will be more fun) and want to know if combat swords will let me pvp and still be somewhat successful. Any input would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

in the lower lvl BG's i see a lot of rogues with swords that have fiery enchant and if you play smart you'll do fine, just try to keep them stunlocked then build up CP's and evis till they die
