For Alliance PvP , you're better off with a dwarf by the way. Their Stoneform can dispell enemy poisons, they have desperate prayer, and fear ward. A human's feedback costs too much mana, and their spirit and rep bonuses don't do anything for PvP.

Heh, I made a post saying the same thing but in more detail 10 days ago, but it didn't get changed. Glad to know someone else agrees with me, and that I'm not crazy :)
As the Human looks like a better choice for pvp with the talent feedback, Draenei seem to be a better choice for pve.
Small point, but I don't agree with this at all. Feedback costs way too much mana to be useful. For pvp, dwarf is the best choice. Desperate Prayer as an emergency heal for yourself, Fear Ward against those pesky warlocks/shadow priests and Stoneform (dwarf racial) to get rid of rogue poisons. They win, hands down.
For PVE, there is something to be said about humans for a holy priest as they get +10% to spirit. Diplomacy is one of the best racials in the game, 10% more rep gains means 10% less time grinding rep. I tend to think of Fear Ward as a bonus, not a requirement. If your warriors can't do bosses that fear without it, you need better ones. Yes, it helps out when you use another class to tank but I don't think you should have to base your race selection on it.
Note: If you are making a shadow priest and you know this 100% you don't have to worry about picking a race with Fear Ward as it cannot be used in Shadow Form.
Just bringing this to your attention again Agoge as it has been three weeks and the racials/pvp section hasn't been addressed.
Also just wanted to point out that Human spirit is +10% spirit, not +5% like you have listed :)
Hey, another picky note :) I noticed this when I was writing something up for my guild forums. Shadow Weaving is now a 2% vulnerability per stack, for a total of 10% (rather than 3% and 15% total as it is written now).
I dont think that Agoge has been on this forum for some weeks now. Which is a shame as this FAQ not only is far from finished, but could do with some spelling (and not only) checks.
#34REDACTED,
Posted:Sep 06 2007 at 12:50 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Sorry guys for the delay. I was away for a while and didn't have time to update. I updated the notes from you guys. Is there anything else that needs to be added/deleted or changed?
Rather then start a new thread(which I might do anyways) can you go over the advantages and disadvantages to Aldor and Scryer? Maybe the which is better for holy and which is better for shadow.
Aldor is better for both. The gear for both sides can be replaced or equaled with crafted gear, 5-mans, or heroics, while the recipes aren't *that* important. Which leaves the shoulder enchants, of while the Aldor is much, much better for either spec, ESPECIALLY if you have no intention of grinding all the way to exalted.
While the Aldor shoulder enchants are better than the Scryer ones for a Shadow priest, they also have a nice +hit trinket that can help tide you over until you get other upgrades with spell hit. If you are a tailor, then scryer may be the way to go if you think you will be running a lot of heroics. That way you can make your own epic spellthread rather than having to pay for a nether, or having to depend on a guild mate's nether to have one made.
However, like lsfreak said, if you have no plans on getting to exalted at all, then go with Aldor for the shoulder enchant at revered. The Scryer one at revered has only +crit.
I'd like to bring up a few points of note: -Fear Ward is no longer a racial ability, it is available for all Priests. -Fear Ward has been replaced by a new racial: Incapacitate (DD + 2second stun). -Touch of Weakness is an Undead/Blood Elf racial ability; not a shadow spell. -Down ranking has had a penalty added to it as of the 2.0.1 update--make sure to adjust how far you down rank to maximize your healing/mana and healing/second combination.
Thank you for taking time out of your work/family/play time to put together a priest guide and I look forward to seeing how the different sections evolve over time.
Agoge, in the time it took you to write the last "look at me how hot I am" post, you could have corrected some of the errors in the FAQ.
Wow bro really? I have a very demanding raiding schedule right now so once we down Illidan, your just going to have to sit tight.
I do play this game not just hang out on these forums so if you want to take over this Priest FAQ, go right ahead bro its all yours. I dont have the time right now to amuse and to satisfy everyones needs.
This FAQ is still a work in progress, I do not claim to know everything, your comments and suggestions are welcome. Your questions will be answered as quickly as possible.

If you want I could help you with at least the structuring part. I don't mean to be rude but the colors you chose really turned me away from even reading halfway through the faq... my eyes are bleeding.
Do remember, that from WotLK, racial spells the priest got - like Devouring Plague was only a undead spell, they have been given to all priests or been removed.

You'll need to change skins to view it since this guide is now being unstickied and not updated any more.
