VII) Warrior Talents
a) Talent Builds
Have a talent build not listed here you want to submit? Post in this thread or send me a PM!

Arms-based Talent Builds
Note: Adjust all Weapon Specializations to the one you're actually using! Sword Spec won't help much if you're using a Mace. Also, small agustments can be made to most builds. 5 points in a single lower tier talent can be moved to another lower tier talent. A good example is moving Imp. Demo. Shout to Booming Voice or Unbridled Wrath, or the other way around.

Arms/Fury PvP
33/25/3
Link to Build
Description: The pure Warrior PvP build, sacrificing most PvE utility for pure carnage. Mortal Strike and Second Wind from Arms, Death Wish, Enrage and Imp. Intercept from Fury - you'll be throwing out some significant damage with this build, assuming any kind of decent weaponry. Note that this build sacrifices nearly all PvE utility - no Thunderclap, no Blood Frenzy - just pure PvP-focused damage. If you plan on PvPing almost exclusively... well, this build is for you. Take it out for a spin.

Arms/Protection Utility
35/11/15
Link to Build
Description: A general Warrior utility build - giving you access to the damage talents of Arms, Cruelty, and picking up some of the best talents in the Protection tree - Improved Shield Block, Last Stand and Defiance. This build gives you Improved Thunderclap, Blood Frenzy and Endless Rage - letting you function as a nice PvE 'debuff-bot' while pumping out very strong damage, while also giving you great tanking options.

Arms/Fury PvE DPS Utility
33/28/0
Link to Build
Description: A nice, well-rounded Warrior build - but focusing more on the utility that you can gain from Fury than the Arms/Protection build does. You gain Improved Demoralizing Shout (a great PvE and PvP debuff!) and Improved Battle Shout. With this build, you have the best of _all_ of the buffs and debuffs that a Warrior can provide - 20% Thunderclap, 375 AP Battle Shout and Blood Frenzy. A good build for both PvP and PvE.

Fury-based Talent Builds
DW Fury with The Works
13/48/0
Link to Build
Description: A Dual Wield Fury build that picks up... well, everything. Imp Intercept, Zerker, Execute, DW Specialization, Imp. Whirlwind, and of course Precision, Bloodthirst and Rampage. If you love the utility that the Fury build can provide, then this is the build for you. The true heart and soul of the Fury tree.

DW Fury w/ Impale
18/43/0
Link to Build
Description: A Dual Wield Fury build that side-specs into Arms for Impale. Pure, unadulterated damage, in essence - you get Deep Wounds ticking, Impale for more Crit damage, Improved Overpower, plus Rampage/Imp. Zerker/Bloodthirst from Fury. The idea is to rip people apart, and... this build does it. You can move the points from Unbridled Wrath into Imp. Demo Shout, trading some bonus Rage for more utility.

2H Fury
17/41/3
Link to Build
Description: A basic Rampage/Impale 2H Fury build. Your primary damage from this build will be Bloodthirst, Slam and Whirlwind. Works great.

Fury/Protection
5/41/15
Link to Build
Description: An interesting hybrid build, giving you some decent Fury DPS while also providing for the main Protection talents (Defiance, Shield Block, Last Stand). Even though you're sacrificing alot of DPS utility, you pick up the more tanking utility!

Protection-based Talent Builds
Piercing Protection
8/11/42
Link to Build
A nice, solid Protection build that side-specs into Fury to pick up Unbridled Wrath and Piercing Howl (Piercing Howl is incredibly useful in Heroic instances to slow mobs down while you get them onto you). You forgo Imp. Defensive Stance in favor of other talents. A very solid build, built for Heroic 5-man play and raid use - giving you access to pretty much everything to reduce your incoming damage.

Full-on Protection
11/5/42
Link to Build
Ever wanted to pick up pretty much every Protection talent? This is the ultimate damage-mitigation build, giving you access to the attack-speed reduction of Thunderclap, the armor and Imp. Shield Block from early Protection. Very good build for Kara and heroics.

There. I updated the talent part to the best of my ability. Let me know what you think :)

Erm... how did I get this stickied? All I wanted was to post in the old thread :(

Oh well... I'll try to get it fixed.

Incorporating this into stuff now. =p

Really? Glad you like it :D I made some small errors though... I didn't change the point distribution (X/X/X) of the last prot builds :P It's supposed to be 8/11/42 not 5/11/45 for the first one. And 11/5/42 not 8/4/49 for the second.

Let me know if you want help with something else. If there's stuff you're currently working on, and like to finish, just throw me some other **** :]

Well, I haven't _proof_ read it, but it's sitting in the FAQ next to the original section waiting for me to go through it and combine them. =p

Hmm... mind sending me the original code in a PM though? Would be nice not to have to retype it all.

Well... I could. But can't you just "reply to this", click "quote original" and copy it out? Less work for me is always good! :P If not I'll send it to you, sure.

The DW fury builds could definitely use some tweaking.

I've said it before in other threads but imp overpower is lack luster while DWing and especially when you don't have TM.

Passing up imp heroic strike is a good idea for most dps builds save for DW fury. You use heroic strike very often to dump excess rage and every bit of rage counts.

You can check my armory to see what I personnaly believe to be the most dmg output a DW fury warrior can talent into. I've got the math to back up my claims if you wish to know why I spent talents in certain places. Just send me a PM and I'll be glad to tell you.

Point taken about Imp. Overpower. Changed both the build slightly. Should be close to optimal now.

Maybe you can add a beginner section with leveling build/talent order. One thing to add points to trees, but better to know why and when is best. We all learn or we get run over. Thanks to both of you for some great work.

Both me, axhed and Utarius have made a leveling spec, but I can make you one here.

Index:

a) 10-29, 2h fury.
b) 29-40, 2h arms.
c) 29-40, 2h fury.
d) 40-70, 2h arms.
e) 40-70, 2h fury.

a)
Link to build
10-14: 5/5 in Cruelty.
15-19: 5/5 in Imp. Demo. Shout.
20-24: 5/5 in Commanding Presence.
25-29: 5/5 in Enrage.

At this point, jump either to "b)" or "c)".

b)
Link to build
30: 1/1 in Sweeping Strikes.
31-35: 5/5 in Weapon Specialization (Poleaxe in this case).
36-37: 2/2 in Impale.
38-39: 2/2 in Weapon Mastery.
40: Mortal Strike.

After this I assume you'll continue with "d)", but you can jump to "e)" if you like.

c)
Link to build
30-31: 2/2 in Imp. Slam.
32: 1/1 in Death Wish.
33-34: 2/2 in Imp. Execute.
35-39: 5/5 in Flurry.
40: 1/1 in Bloodthirst.

At this point, jump either to "d)" or "e)".

d)

Link to build

41-42: 2/2 in Second Wind.
43-44: 2/2 in Bloody Frenzy.
45-49: 5/5 in Cruelty.
50-54: 5/5 in Imp. Demo. Shout.
55-59: 5/5 in Commanding Presence.
60-64: 5/5 in Enrage.
65-66: 2/2 in Imp. Slam.
67: Death Wish.
68-69: Imp. Execute.
70: Piercing Howl.

At this point you should probably respec to a build in the first post that you think suits your purposes the best.

e)

Link to build
41-42: 2/2 in Imp. Whirlwind.
43-44: 2/3 in Precision.
45-49: 5/5 in Imp. Berser. Stance.
50: Rampage.
51-55: 5/5 in Deflection.
56-58: 3/3 in Imp. Thunder Clap.
59-60: 2/2 in Imp. Charge.
61-62: 2/2 in Imp. Overpower.
63-65: 3/3 in Deep Wounds.
66-70: 5/5 in Two-Handed Specialization.

At this point you should probably respec to a build in the first post that you think suits your purposes the best.

Hey everyone. Back after a few months of non playing and have left my hunter alone until WOTLK. Rolled a warrior. Level 15 and fixing to get set for dm runs. But just a quick question. Learning to tank and tank extremely well can be difficult. >.>

My question to you: Is there a leveling build for a warrior who wishes to spec protection all the way to 70. Just curious. I know it takes awhile. Most will tell me to stay with the leveling build you have posted already.

Second question is for those who DW Fury. I was told that after level 30 of the bandit gear is better then of the bear. I have read the faq but I still ponder on the thought. Warriors are dps damage dealers. What would of the bandit gear provide to a DW Fury warrior that of the bear would not. Thanks guys. Following the leveling guide now.

You can tank any 5-man outside of Heroics as Fury or Arms, Prot leveling is ok if you duo with a dps/healer team for your entire Azeroth experience. As long as you keep a 1h/shield up-to-date as well as the rest of your gear of course you can tank with no points in prot.

The stat choice for leveling, as I've been told, is high dependancy on STR with Sta next and finally Agi, until you get to outlands. Then its AP>Crit>Str>Sta, I could be off but that is the priority I used and it worked fine.
