I am running dual wield right now, mostly PvE, some PvP, and I was wondering what the best 1h or 2h weapons are for me. Max required lvl 59, possibly twinking at 59 with my friend. Any input is much appreicated.

Just keep your speed above 2.4 and pretty much anything will work. If your Storm Striking and WF procing you will want the highest top end damage you can find. I just did a quick search on here for weapons 50-59. Quite handy for finding items. On the left you just go to Advanced Search under Items and you can punch in any parameters you want and it will list them for you and where to get them.

For late game, Is it worth picking up Blacksmithing to make either Dragonstrike or Wicked Edge of the Planes for a Main Hand? And about the Dragonstrike, will the haste rating mess of WF proccing?

Might not be a bad idea. There are slightly better weapons but there all Raid drops or PvP rewards. So if you want something before getting into raids or doing PvP then they would be excellent. In fact that Dragonstrike is pretty sexy even against some of the raid drops.

Not really. WF will still have the 3 second timer on it regardless of how fast your weapon is swinging. And the WF proc or attack is calculated on the base weapon speed not the current after buffs speed. So you will still get your big mighty blows from a 2.7 speed weapon but be swinging probably around dagger speeds. A lot of your damage is going to come from white damage and WF procs and you will easily cover both those with those weapons. There are gimped spots in speeds that will actually cause you to lose some dps. But I wouldn't be to concerned with that.

So I wouldn't say getting them is required (not to mention the mats) but they are pretty darn sexy if you do decide to go that route and will probably last you quite a while.
