Just picked up the GLadiator's Plate Shoulders:

It was for my PVP set, but I compared em to my Warchief Mantle that I'd been using for tanking. Much better.
Probably the easiest tanking shoulder's to attain pre-kara.

Yes, Gladiator's Plate Shoulders are definitely the best pre-raid tanking shoulders.

Hi there, Love this guide used it to help gear up for tanking Kara and tank it great I might add. I was going to suggest that you Add Slikk's Cloak to the tanking cloak section since it's a really nice tanking cape. Just thought I'd throw my thoughts out there. <3 this guide 12/10

tyvm for this guide i always have loved tanking played it lvl 1-64 auctally just respecced fury to hurry up and lvl so i can get geared for kara and keyed and MT for my guild but i wouldnt know any guidelines for gearing for kara w/o your guide ty so much for making it

Should add the trinket from Heroic MgT. And she drops another one, Shard of Contempt, whish is awesome for tanking (tps) also.

How does the new reputation based Savage Plate items fare in comparison? They would be fairly easy to obtain for most, and seem to have decent stats.

Well, I've been a tank forever, and my guild seems to have a glut of them now, so I figure I'll switch back to DPS'ing. The problem now is that I have never DPS'ed any of the high-end content. Here's an armory link:

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on some quick item upgrades or maybe my stuff's decent enough to start out in higher level instances, maybe heroics, whatever. I was thinking maybe the PvP gloves (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=24549;source=live ), because I don't see any real great immmediately available upgrades. Other than that, I'm not sure, because, like I said, DPS isn't really something I have much know-how with.

May I suggest linking all the gems and whatnot to Alla and not wowhead? This allows mouse-over and not having to keep going to a different wowhead site link for all of them.
