I Don't bother to name my pets and usually i cant think of any.

durotar tiger- BADKITTY (south park, but also a different story)
barrens raptor- SUPERDUDE(nickname i somehow gave Kelley Gregg on the Ravens)
one of the flying snake things from outside of camp taurajo, can't remember what they are called- NOT(long story behind that one)
Kresh, from Wailing Caverns-Kresh(wanted to show that i could tame him)
a crab from bfd- senorpinchy (my friend thought of that one, i din't think he expected me to use it but i really liked it)
dread swoop from desolace- CHUCKNORRIS (barrens are fun)

ok i had to reply to this thread. i have a dwarven hunter, as of the end of may lvl 40. at lvl 10 got the quest for pet. did the three i had to do, once i could get rid of the bear, went outside of kharanos and tamed myself a lvl 7 winter wolf. i named it PapaWhiskey. the reason i did so is my nickname in the real world is Paladin, hence the 'P'. and also in the real world, i love wolves, hence the 'W'. now i have served in the Army and am also a security guard at the local casino, where we use the phonetic alphabet, so 'P' becomes 'Papa' and 'W' becomes 'Whiskey'. i have gotten a few compliments and quite a number of questions about the name. this wolf is the only pet i have ever used, except for the ones for the taming quest and to learn the neccesary skills. so 30 lvls is some dedication to one pet. if you want to check it out, Eneguerodle on Anvilmar server. and yes, the toon's name is special to me too. its Eugene Eldor spelled backwards. fits perfect for a dwarf, except im 5'10 but could pass for one otherwise.

Ylare - Wolf (Ylare would translate as Howler into English)

My current pet on my main hunter is Humar the Pridelord, named Runako which I have been told means handsome in some African language. I am hoping noone was lying to me, but I do like the way the name sounds. :D

Haha these are some great names. Ive got some funny names i gave to my pet XD or atleast i thought they were...
but first i must say, ive seen the funniest pet and name. while i was in thunderbluff going about my busines. i saw a Gorilla, the ones outtside of Booty bay. and some one named it 'GEORGESMUM' hahahah i dont know who george is but boy did he do something to **** some one off.. lol
my pet names are mythical and funny lol.

Finding the right name for my pet makes playing my hunter more fun to play. So I tend to agonize over pet names. Three of the names I’ve been very happy with are:
Sweetpea – pink tallstrider
Truffles – black armored boar
Clotho – black widow spider
Over the weekend I created a troll hunter to use as a bank alt so I decided to have fun with his and his pets’ names.
Troll Hunter: Boondoggle
Raptor Pet: Curmudgeon

Humar - Kuroarashi (black storm in Japanese)
Rotting Agam'ar - Bushido (Japanese literally translated as: "the way of the warrior;" popularly held to refer to the so-called "code of honor" of the medieval Japanese samurai class, involving an intense degree of loyalty to one's lord and a readiness to die for that loyalty at any given moment.)
Warp Chaser - Scottie..... self explanitory..... and he is from "where no - one has gone before"

I named my Ghost saber Specter. The name just seems to fit and i plan on never letting him go since it took me 23 figurines to make him appear...over 4 hours. But he's totally worth it
I usually name my pets after my real-world pets. Unfortunately, this only works for dogs and cats. I've had a wolf as my main pet sice level 10 (I've changed wolves a few times) and always named it after my dog Klaus. At level 43, I grabbed that white tiger in Stranglethorn and named it after my former cat Jabba. We named him Jabba the Cat because he was rather large. The tiger isn't quite as fat and lazy as Jabba was.
As for other pets, it's usually a crapshoot. I had a gorilla that I named Skidmark, but I didn't use it enough and it fell by the wayside. I have an owl now that is still named Owl - I can't decide what to name it.

I have a green ravager named Longmao, Chinese for ugly dragon. I also have wiggles the cobra.

I use Humar as my main. I haven't named him yet. I've thought about naming him one of the following:
Brownsugar
Brownsuga
Blackpuss
Blackpussy
Pinkinside
But I'm afraid I'd get in trouble. So I'm still trying to come up with something.

I never had funny pet names. I just named them how they looked. The only one remotely funny was a Crocolisk I had named LaCoste. GET IT. LIKE THE CLOTHING. Yeah. Not funny.
My friend named his first pet ever - a Plainstrider - CHODALUVR. It was horrible. But he hated that pet and grew to hate Hunter, too, so he doesn't count.

I know it's been said hundreds of times, and people have named their pet this name a hundred times, but the best name I have ever seen is "Imwithstupid". The worst part was that the Hunter I saw it on was named Metoo.
