2. Shaman sometimes make a good FC, but the reason druids are better FC's is because when we go in ghostwolf, its purgeable/dispellable, but at 29 i guess were the best out there since druids don't have travel form.
I've just started a 29 sham twink. Last night ran the flag many times in many games, quiet well for the most part. I had many a priest DoT cast on me - wasn't dispelled once!
Though I suppose it will eventually happen.
Enhancement sham gear - try something like this:
Hat: enduring cap w/ 100 hp libram
neck: I haven't decided yet - any sta/int/str combo
chest: Raptor Hunter Harness (sp?) - hemmit nessingwary jr quest, stv
pants: any boe w/ either clefthide or silver spell thread (like of the eagle) (edit , or you can go crazy and use petrospil or trollhide)
shoes: AB boots for sta and speed
cape: rep bought cape from Ghostlands or tiger strike
gloves: razzeric racing grips, panther or tiger hunter, or of the eagle
belt: AB belt or moss cinch
shoulder: watchman pauldrons
rings: both from sfk, one from baron, one from quest to kill arugal
wrist: barbaric (I think)
Weapon: Corpsemaker from rfk, Cobalt Crusher (2hmace) (I think that's what it's called) or any 1h and Marbled shield, quest in RFK. Dreamslayer or Dreamsmasher is a good one hand mace.
What's funny is that w/ all the above, when I finish my enchants (which I haven't done yet), I might only have 500 hp over my lvl 19 twink, maybe not that good! Hah.
Some tips for Shaman Bg (coming from someone who is still very much learning):
Remember to PURGE. If people come in with huge buffs from higher lvl chars, w/ potion-given buffs, etc - knock em off! Certain classes are badly hurt by purges.
Don't waste your shocks. Save them for the right moment:
Rogue - I always fire shock to DoT them - if they vanish, spam tab. They'll be back w/in a few seconds.
Any caster - earthbind to slow them - safe shock of earth to interrupt a key spell, like heal, polymorph, fear, etc.
War - I do highest dps shock or frost to slow him. I'm still working out what to do here.
That's just a few - not sure how helpful they are. GL.
