the next "Crusader"...Follow

#1 Feb 12 2007 at 8:40 AM Rating: Decent
correct me if i'm worng... but it seemed that pre-TBC, Crusader was the uber enchant to get for all warrs...

now, i hear Crusader effect is lessened at lvls above 60...

so what is the next "must get" enchant?

also, Crusader does not stack so is it worth getting dual crusader on DW swords so that it procs as often as possible?

Crusader used to be THE must have for fury DW:ers. We havn't seen all the enchants in TBC yet, so knowing what the next one is is impossible.

Mongoose is suppost to be the new crusader. Though I still don't understand why crusader got nerfed after 60.

Crusader stacks fine.

Mongoose is 120 agi and haste in a similar proc style to crusader.

anyone got %:age of how much +att-speed.
#8 Feb 12 2007 at 10:42 AM Rating: Decent
i htink i read 300% for 10 second somewhere on the attack speed. and Crusader lessons by 2-4 str per level above 60. so at level 70, cruader procs for about 65+ str...still nothign to scoff at. But mongoose is definatly the way to go for all melee dps classes.

And Mungoose also procs off both weaps, like crusader does? 240 agi and (I'm guessing the attack speed buff doesn't stack) 300% faster attacks=imbah pwnage.

Well depends on what you're talking about when you refer to "Crusader"

http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=28004

You have Battlemaster, which is the godly enchant of all tank enchants, healing your whole group for 180-300 on proc. Put a Rogue, a Prot tank with low Speed tanking weapon this, and forget even needing to cure the group. Have fun though, the Void Crystals are 100g each, making the enchant cost nearly 400g. Totally worth it though if you're using a weapon you know you'll be holding onto. (one of the weaponsmithing weapons for instance)

If you're referring to the melee damage of the crusader, at the moment crusader is like 60str on proc, and as much as crusader procs, I'd probably stick with a +20STR enchant on both weapons, as +40STR all the time is better than +60/+120 occasionally. I could be wrong though, and this may apply differently with a rogue, but if you're a rogue you should be going for Mongoose anyway. Mongoose is like 800g+ though...and nearly impossible to get a hold of the mats.

Thats my 2 cents.

I was also looking at battlemaster. Even dual wielding as an off tank would be of great worth to a group since you not only DPS, but heal the whole group while your at it.

On a tanking note, its a must. Revenge comes up so often, that between it, sunders, and my 31 point attack skill, I'm still hitting my target often enough to reap great benefit from it... particularly if used in conjunction with other heal items.

On my pvp warrior, I put Savagery on. +70ap, no procs, just an instant increase in dps. Works for me.

"Imba" means "Imbalanced". I just add an "h" at the end of the word coz I'm a ****** :)

Edit: ***** whole words. Abbreviations ftw. ;D

My motto has always been:
"If your to lazy to type it all out, then I'm going to be lazy as well and ignore it."

please, save the English language, and type your words out.

I was kidding around, calm down.

As for the actual topic, Id actually take mongoose over crusader as a MT because the haste means faster rage generation.

Since flurry doesn't generate more rage anymore I can't see how mongoose would. I'd love to be proven wrong tho. But I'd take mongoose over crusader too, although the +str is good, you don't get the full bonus as a lvl 70. The +att speed generates more threat through dmg and the +agi makes you crit more often, also generating threat.

Are there any enchants that can stack with Crusader?

Whoa, took me a few to notice how old this thread is.

Reading through these necrous posts, I saw mentions of a Battlemaster enchantment. Never heard of that one. Worth getting?

battle master : chance on hit, heals your whole group for about 200 or so

mongoose : 120 agility and a .05 speed increase to both mh and oh, mainly used for the agi [thats about 4 crit i think at 70], i dw them on my warrior and i love them in raids

the 300 attack spead is NOT from mongoose but likely the meta gem [sky fire diamond] which i also have on my warrior, and love it in raids :D

best tanking enchant is most def. mongoose for the chance to dodge. battle master is cool, but if you have a shadow priest in your group, and you're doing 25 mans with 5-7 healers or so, BM is not worth it.

i don't see however why this thread was ressurected from february to just ask if crusader stacks with any enchants... rate down for you :|

Yeah, I'm getting Mongoose on my tanking sword, as soon as I get my Sun Eater. I was just curious about that Battle Master as I never see anyone talking about it.

And yeah, the necromancy exhibited by that poster was certainly strange. I kind of scratched my head when I finally got to the last post.

"i don't see however why this thread was ressurected from february to just ask if crusader stacks with any enchants... rate down for you "

wtf why would you rate him down if he's looked all the way back to feb or did a search for crusader that shows he's taken the time to try to find the info he's looking for. second he's done the smart thing and tryed to keep the information about crusader stuff in a fourm that is already talking about crusader and not makeing yet another post that is gonna get 0-4 replys and then just take up room on the forms or make it harder to look up information on it. if anything should be a rate up for takeing time and for not makeing new spam topics
