Ok
I have a really NOOBIE question that has nothing to do with being a rouge. I tried to print this thread so I could highlight parts and refer to it while I was in WOW, but I ended up with 33 pages of headers, but no text. Is there a way to print this whole thread out with the words?

Also is there a place where I can print out the most commonly used abreviations that are used in the game.

Don't think you can get a printer friendly version easily, but try WoWwiki for the abbreviations.

Added a link to my freshly written Quickstart guide. It contains a lot of answers to the most basic questions, like how to spend your talent points, which weapon to choose (if you want somebody else to decide that for you), and some notable pieces of gear to try to pick up on your way.

I also updated the Assassination talents section. Combat next.

A few weeks late on this reply, but hopefully it still reaches you zooexhibit. You likely need to enable background image and colors printing option. Go to the tools menu, select advanced tab and over half way down is printing option. Check the box and save. Should work now.

Linked Demea's build thread in the build section. That particular section will no longer be updated.

Extremely well. Pretty standard level 40 Combat Swords. Your next points should go into Assassination.

Drop murder, get Ruthlessness. 1% damage isn't something to write home about, and a few extra CPs here and there are very nice.

Hey Noob, I read most of your sticky at the top of the Rogue forum and I've come to somewhat of a delema. I've chosen to go with your either your 0/35/26 build or the 20/0/41 build (with a few of my aown adjustments).

My question is, which is more all round? (I mean solo/pvp, i can deal with raids on my own). I not looking for the perfect build, just something better than what i have now. I notice in the 0/35/26 there isn't a lot of added CP talents which is what i like to do, but won't that take away from DPS control.

The 20/0/41 build looks intising, but from what i hear, Shadow Step is useless unless your doing pvp.

Thanks for your time and communts.

PMing me the exact same message 3 times and posting it here as well is a good way to get yourself ignored. I get a lot of PMs, and I have a life outside these forums. If I take a little while to get back to you, there is likely a reason other than me waiting for you to spam your question in as many formats as you can.

If you're just interested in huge crits, roll a Mage, they're better at putting up huge numbers.

Nooble all i've got to say is /wrist...lol. I started playing WOW over a year ago after getting to my unit a couple of guys in the shop wanted me to start playing and i gave it a chance. My first character was an undead rogue. The first night my Sgt told me to play with them i had to be level 10 and be waiting on them in Crossroads by 6 am the following morning. I had no idea first character of the game no help just get to level 10. I killed boars and scorpions til i hit 10. Never quested didn't even know what they were. Going through the Barrens, they were leveling way faster because i had no quest they were on i was just killing ****. Then they explained the quest thing to me. I got it down pat. Leveled to 40 with them and we ran Scarlet Lib. The chest was locked and they asked me to open it. I had no clue about lockpicking, poisons, and blind. So there i was with no professions, no skills, grinding all the way. I was finally told about this site along with thottbot and wowiki. I kicked my self in the *** for weeks having to go back and level Herbalism, Alchemy, lock, and posions. I read about the combat build and tried that. Got the sword of owmen and by then the guildies were in BG all the way workingf towards PVP armor sets and running ZG and such. I quit at level 48 because i was so far behind in the level curve i took a break. I tried every class to level 30. I am still fond of the rogue though because world pvp is MY thing as a rogue. Started a new undead rogue and level and pvp in brackets not as a twink to get the pvp mount. Raptor pwns BTW. I am curently level 70 in Dungeon 3 gear with a few extras. We started a 5 man Arena team and i curently have both the Gladiator's Shanker and the Gladiator's Shiv. I am still working on the Gladiator's gear. And yes still a little noob left in me because i can't figure out how to link my Armory thing on here. Take care and great guide for starters. I am curently working up a Hemo build because i just picked up The Sun Eater last week....

Excellent guide.

However, can you add the following:

The most important stats for rogue are: Agility, Stamina and Strength (in that order).
#121 Jul 13 2007 at 6:29 PM Rating: Decent
No, you can pretty much ignore strength ina ll formats. When any particular piece of gear comes with strength on it, it is purely a bonus to your attack power and nothing else. And the primary stats for a Rogue change depending on whether you're PvP or PvE centered. Yeah...there was a day when it didn't matter, but those days are long gone.

For PvE: Agility > Attack Power > Hit Rating > Stamina

For PvP it can become even more structured, as sometimes weapon choice plays a factor, but in general: Agility > Stamina > Resilience > Attack Power/Crit Rating (mainly dagger rogues) > Any dodge rating and hit rating you can get

This might be a dumb question but for the ZOMG build you say that the best tactic to use is "Ambush -> Blind -> Amp -> Shadowstep Ambush"...what is Amp? I couldn't find it in any of the talents or rogue abilities and just wanted to know. Thanks in advance

Amp being short for amplification, basically any ability or trinket you can use to increase your damage.

Look up Bladefist's Breadth, it's a good example.

I've decided to switch from combat swords to a mutilate build at level 60. Combat swords are incredible for leveling, but not very entertaining. I plan to do a lot of PvP at 60 for the rewards and just to have a break from leveling. A pair of High Warlords Razor seem to be the best choice of daggers. I was wondering if I should PvP in Combat Swords spec, or should I switch to mutilate? If I should PvP in a Mutilate spec, then what daggers should I use until I have enough honor for the High Warlords Razor? One final question, how do you play as a Mutilate build? I mean what abilities do you use and in what order with what poisons. I know there isn't an attack sequence that will work for every fight, but just a basic outline.
Thanks in advance for any advice or comments.
