#2REDACTED, Posted: Apr 03 2009 at 3:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I am only a level 40 priest and recently started using Healbot. I traditionally have been using my bottom action bars starting from left to right because thats how i built my rotation for my palli and my other toons. I realized that because of healbots window the only location i felt that it was comfortable was the bottom right hand corner. Since I added healbot I organized all of my spells and abilities around the bottom right hand corner.

...I don't think OP will be looking at this thread any time soon...

Why, you ask? Look at the date this topic was made.

Congratulations on committing Thread Necromancy.

I started out using mad UI's and found that most of the time they just cluttered up my screen. Healbot does that well enought in a 25 man (as pictured... and I'm going to mess with it to get it smaller...) Anyway, I got rid of a bunch of them to clear up my screen. Not to say that OMG Buffs and X-Pearl don't have their place, but ALL UI's are desinged by users to make things easier for them. The popular ones are where others shared that opinion.

I now just use (during a raid):
Healbot, Omen, Recount (not pictured as I hide it until I want to see it) and Bigwigs. Equipcomapre (which you can do without by hitting shift and mousing over the item) is on all the time.

Outside of raids I also use AuctionMaster and Questhelper.

That's my UI probably at it's most cluttered moment. It's really build for 10 or 20-mans (though those don't exist), which is why there is one group hanging up there in a random spot.

I use Bartender for the bars down there, and I've got my spells macro'd so they change use upon selection change (I.E. Greater Heal becomes Holy Fire when an enemy is selected). The lower two bars swap to bars holding things like jewelcrafting and smelting when I get out of combat. The thing above my bars is PoMtracker which keeps track of prayer of mending. Above that is Icehud combined with Pitbull portraits of me and my target. All the other chars being shown is all Pitbull as well. The group of three right above my character are the Main Tanks, which need to be set by the raid leader. If they're to lazy to do it, I use focus on the MT and it shows up there as well. Also, when I go out of combat, the lower right corner of my screen shows the CarboniteQuest map.

To sum up the addons I use;
-Icehud
-Pitbull Unit Frames
-CarboniteQuest
-Recount
-Bartender4
-DeadlyBossMods
-Atlas
-DoTimer (though these are usually disabled on my priest, more there for the rogue)
-Pawn
And then there's some other minor addons that block error spam messages and the like.

You actually use lesser heal? Or is that just the icon you picked for some macro?

I just overhauled my UI over the weekend and will post it when I get home, it's really just a mimic of the arkiveUI with my own personal things added in.

I like that one a lot Synn. Loads of empty space wins the day.

Don't have any screenies lying around right now, as I've fiddled and tweaked the UI since they were relevant. But you can basically just imagine Caith UI with a few modifications. Anyway, here are at least some of the addons, by memory:

Bartender4
Quartz
Bigwigs
A few Texture addons, for creating custom backgrounds to chat/actionbars.
Cowtip
Classtimer (DoT/Selfbuff tracker, useful for almost all classes)
Pitbull for unit/raidframes.
Carbonite (makes alt leveling that much faster)
Auctioneer (Increased my weekly income by 30%)
Mike's Scrolling Battle Text (makes AoE look boring, but cleans up the overall spam in combat)
Recount (for dps/healing meters)
Omen (Threatmeter)
And a heap of other small addons that makes small tweaks and changes that may not even be noticeable.

It's not a lightweight UI by any means. Between Carbonite and Auctioneer alone, it requires serious memory usage. But it's clean, hides what I don't want to see and looks great. Besides the addons used, I also stick with Mouseover macros for healing and so on. It's also a multi-character UI, working fine with my Rogue, Hunter, Druid and countless other alts.

Yeah, but running for the flag at the beginning of EoTS without actually keeping at least 2 bases doesn't. So those screenshots aren't epic for me for the UI, but because they clearly show why Alliance - apparently regarless of what realm they're on - sucks so bad in EoTS. You truly captured the moment there :)

Usually Omen is in the upper left corner. I need to find that mod that allows you to move the tooltip, I keep forgetting.
