Could anyone tell me the spawn rate or time he spawns ive been camping his area for 2 days no site of him yet :( im on Draenor server been logging my hunter in every 2 hours to check but no sign. Just wanted him until i can get broken tooth.

Any help much appreciated.

or if anyone spots him whisper Vickgalf Lvl 60 Mage normally in instances but would swap chars quickly to tame this beast :)

i don't expect another hunter would whisper me but worth a try :)

I have Humar the Pridelord as pet and as long as I know, it appears once every 2 or 3 hours at the shadow of a tree, right a little bit nord of Ratchet.
Hope it helps.

Ciao

Holy crap man, way to go search the forums for repeated topics, you went all the way back to 2006 to find this topic. Your race and server don't matter. As far as Humars actual respawn time, I don't know, sorry.

He is a nice pet. I use use him as well.

When my friend played his hunter, and we played together, he used the White one, Ecyeeke(sp?). Was cool.

I will use him up to 70 I guess, but I am looking for a new pet. Maybe a bird? maybe a black outland raptor..maybe wait til WoTLK and get...something...

there are a few threads about Humar , if you look him up here you will see nobody is exactly sure of his spawn time , it is probably 8-12 hours max and the problem is it is rare he survives long as there always seems to be a lot of people that either want to kill him or tame him , for example i was in the area and said in general chat he was there and about 5 Hunters and a few others were there in a few minutes so as you can see logging in and out means you probably missed him.

Not sure why you want broken tooth as he has nothing special to offer as his skin is the same as many other cats , and all cats even Elites are now all the same speed and power and have been for a long time.

What i did on my hunter was keep running around skinning all the cats and a few other mobs , and when my bags were full it was a very quick trip to the Ratchet bank and then keep going at the skinning , for me it took around 5 hours of non stop play for him to spawn, just keep watching as i am sure if you are not there he will have spawned and have been killed/tamed before you log back in.

forgot to add cords
Cords are 62/33 and just above ratchet and its a tree surrounded by cat families for those that did not know , Humar spawns in the shade of the tree.

I'm fairly certain I still hold this board's longest continuous Humar camp record. Spent over nine hours sitting up in that tree, pulling Lions for leather, staring at that shadowy patch underneath the tree.

The OP wanted Broken Tooth over 2 years ago. This thread was originally posted on January 13th 2006.

Because someone thought to use the Search feature to answer a question that might have been answered.

He just didn't have the sense to understand that a random, rare spawn has nothing to do with what race or server you are. A server is a server- every one of them are built the exact same way, and the spawn won't think to himself "Oh, I hate [that race] I'm not coming out while he's near me."

What kinda sucks for those who camped Humar is there's now a guaranteed spawn of the same skin at 76. We're going to see a lot of Black Lions in WotLK I feel.

I see a lot of black lions now, seems like everyone wants a unique black lion, so everyone went out and got one. Not really as unique anymore as it use to be.

This is true, I was actually more impressed when I saw a Hunter with a regular coloured lion.

Actually, with LK coming with all kinds of new fun pets, not to mention Exotics, I think Humar (or Black Lion) is going to become even more rare. Anyway, kept Humar with me since level 23 and he's staying with me until well past 80.

Actually according to petopia there is a new black lion that appears in northrend.

According to BRK and a couple other forums I frequent, cats are getting nerfed to near uselessness in WotLK. I will miss my ghost saber.

Yeah I deleted my hunter to my regret so I leveled a new one and went back and got my faithful Windserpent that had taken me from level 23 to 70, and will keep her until 80.

I've browsed some of the new pets in and I also plan on getting this windserpent, as well as a wasp. Not sure which one I want yet, but I've narrowed it to this, this, or this.

I'm leaning more towards the white one, but can't get over Blacksting's cool factor, but the blue one might match my toon a little more. I have a little time to decide, so I'm not stressing it much.

The white one is untameable, which should help narrow down your decision.

Personally, (unless they make those Silithid wasps tameable before next patch) I will be getting Blacksting once the patch goes live, then swapping him for one of the northrend models. I'm not sure which one though as they all look superb.

They got buffed back up to be at least viable. They are keeping Prowl, but getting Rake. Ghostcrawler said it was because they felt bad for making them useless because they have been the most popular hunter pet since day 1.

They are untameable now(As are all wasps), but if they are on petopia, I suspect they will become tameable once the patch goes live they will become tameable.

There are a lot of pets listed on Petopia that can't be tamed. Mania probably started to list them to get rid of all the "What about this beast?!" questions. Just look at the "Cats" page.

All wasps are untameable now on live, but these are untameable on beta too. Not even listed as beasts, and Mania added untameable pet-style beasts to Petopia sometime last year. Sucks, but I think it's unlikely we'll be getting those mobs, at least not right away.
