This is not a question post; This be a guide for anyone who doesn't know how to stealth properly OR who are always being see while stealthing. And so it begins...
It was a long long time ago...in a galaxy far far away... Ok nvm.
Prowl...Woo...everyone loves prowl. Especcially those mage users from FFXI(That game is being abanded, and damn well it should be!) Let's start at the basics for any of you guys who have NO idea what druids can do and when they can do it.
At level 20, druids get their beloved cat form. To some, it's useless; to others, well, it's their favorite form. At this same level (lv20) you learn the most-used feline form ability; Prowl.
Prowl is like a rogues stealth, indeed, for it turns the druid(self-cast only) invisible until you break your beloved prowl.
Now, for the helping part.
All of you druids (NE and Taurens alike) have probably been very agitated when someone can see you and you really, REALLY, don't want them to.(Which I'd bet is always) Why is this? Because you are too low! Granted, prowl is one of your best abilities in feline form, but if you're only 20 and your enemy is 21 (I'm in a pvp server, so Im putting this from my perspective) then he'll most likely see you before you can get close enough to do anything!
Now here comes the best part; you dont need your prowl until level 24! Yes, it's true! Why, you ask? Because you get your first back-stabbing ability (rake) at lv24, a very usefull ability that will always give you an uphand if the duel / battle started out fairly.
Later on, you will get other good abilities like rake. Buy them all, however expensive they may be. They will always give you an up-hand in any battle with any foe.

one way you can get prowl to work better is by taking a cue from our cat cousins and hiding in the bushes. you see, when you are prowled and someone sees you, they dont see your characters like it normally is; they see your character as a see-through kind of thing, like its transparent (or just like how youll see it on your screen when prowled). now, if you mix in some low bushes that are swaying gently in the breeze, and you stay absolutely still while prowled, you can have someone 10 levels higher than you stand right next to you and not notice a thing unless they happen to mouse over you.
i like to use this to my advantage by going into ashenvale (im tauren) and hiding in the bushes near sentinel outposts or by the main road and wait for night elves and other alliance to pass by. when they do, i lick them. its quite fun ******** with peoples heads, and i know it freaks them out *KNOWING* that something is out there (and it just licked them to boot) but not being able to find it. any rogues i lick immediately stealth themselves. all the NE so far have made a single, slow, 360 turn, then shadowmelded.
anyways, just remember to stick to natural cover when possible. it wont help much in duels, but you can use bushes and the like in group pvp to provide you with some cover while you go and assasinate some soft targets in the back, or hit an unaware warrior where it hurts most.

What Quor said is true, that does help A LOT. But, if you want to prowl like that, I suggest you dont do it against an NE town. Why? Because of the NE hunters that frolock about. There are 2 reasons: 1) They can see invisible units 2) With some ability(forget which) they can see names.
So, if you feel like raiding a town and want to prowl at the same time, be wary of wandering hunters!
