druid or hunter?Follow

It's all a matter of choice and playing styles. I went and played both druid and hunter, NE druid, Dwarf Hunter. And preferrably I enjoyed the hunter more so, only because I do enjoy soloing most of the time and with your pet, it's like having a two man group, a tank and a range.

With the druid, it seems they are a jack of all trades, not only able to tank (bear form) But also heal and nuke, (druid form) If you enjoy grouping more so then soloing then a druid is a better choice, I loved playing a hunter, but it's difficult to get a group only because we don't have as much DPS as other classes. Though a hunter is by far going to be wanted in any type of raid/instance due to being able to track all kinds of mobs. So again, it's all up to play style and what you want to do. Have a two person/pet duo all the time, or be a jack of all trades. I myself never played ffXI so I don't know what that play style is like and can't really help anymore then a give a brief insight. I'm sure someone else might have better input then I, but good luck in chosing, you still have three more days to go, and if anything else, play both!
