NE are the best because they have the highest Agility (Crit, Damage, Dodge) and they have Shadowmelt.
Shadowmelt is by far the most powerfull racial ability for Hunters in PvP. It help you ambush people and protect you when youre not in combat. Combined with Track Humanoid, Aspect of the Cheetah, NE Hunter are very good.
I had alot of successfull battle with my NE Hunter in both 1v1 and mass PvP. In a 1 on 1 encounter, I was able to Shadowmeldt and let my pet do the initial strike on my target. Even when your pet as engaged an enemy, Shadowmelt won't be canceled so you stay hidden. When your pet start fighting your target, that player will have him targetted and you can freely start shooting the opposing player. Unless he turn around and start searching for you, he wont be able to target you to initiate combat. But even if he manage to find you and start attacking, its usually too late because your at 35 yrds and the enemy is already too damaged.
During mass PVP, I was able to move in the side of the opposing force while my main group was on the other side confronting them. I would use Shadowmelt and hide until some weakeaned player ran away and then I would ambush them. The enemies weren't able to see me since I was hidden until I started to attack.
Only downside is that you need to take into account that your pet doesn't turn invisible when you activate Shadowmelt so it can be easy to figure out where you are for the enemy. The best is to use the Stay pet command and park your pet somewhere far from you.
I strongly suggest to other peopl who want to play Hunters and PvP to pick NE, because I really beleive that they have an edge over the other races in PvP because of Shadowmelt.
