History

Neutral Impact's core group gamed together on Final Fantasy XI's Titan server for several years. We each have a unique history of being successful in other online games including FFXI, Aion, and WoW. Experience in large raiding, low-man situations, and skilled solos all come for the ride in our team. As a group we were able to accomplish great things and create a long-lasting success on the server. The members here were the reason our past linkshell was as successful as it was and we seek to recreate that success in FFXIV. As individuals we each have a passion for gaming, maximizing our classes, and contributing to the community in our own ways. Our administrators have combined for over 10 years of MMORPG leadership experience and strive to create a balanced system all members can partake in. We are now a multigame community, and Final Fantasy XIV will become our new focus for years to come.

Philosophy

Neutral Impact firmly believes the game is not a job. We all have busy personal lives to attend to and that will always take priority over the game. However that does not mean this is a social group. We believe the group and the individual are equal. By extension, we believe members should get the respect they deserve and so transparency is important to us for all things; banks, policies, and planning. Our group believes in always moving forward and as such, all our actions will be focused on reaching the end game and participating in it as best we can, as fast as we can, because we also believe in discovery. Lastly, we also believe that the most fair gaming environment is created using a DKP (ZeroSum) with a firm foundation of governing rules. Our leaders have extensive experience in creating, balancing, and up-keeping DKP systems which are well-thought out and highly structured.

Goals

Our current goals are divided into two distinct stages. Primarily, we seek to enhance our characters by skilling/leveling up, completing quests/missions, and gearing up! Once our playerbase achieves that, we plan to then transition into the end game as soon as possible (the second stage). Applicants should be aware when applying that this group will become focused on end game once enough members attain proper status to do so. We are not a social shell seeking to invite fifty members and would like to keep our roster between 20 and 30 players.

Recruitment

Currently we seek about a dozen individuals who are willing to join us in making an impact on the gaming community. The following qualities are those which our ideal applicants would embody:

[*] Active Player - A candidate ought to enjoy his time enough on the game to be active, ready for discovery, and have time to hang out with his/her friends too. You should be the type of player who wants to have fun and work his/her way through the game, knowing that end game is where the road ahead takes you. If you enjoy exploring all the game's content, leveling, crafting, questing, etc. then you may like it here.
[*] Mature Adult - While we don't want to limit our applicants by age, you must be intelligent, thoughtful, and enjoy friendly competition. A sense of humor is also a must!
[*] Responsible - We seek people who are reliable and can be counted on. You must be able to follow a schedule, be active on our website and in the community to some degree, and communicate with members and leaders. Communication is very, very important.
[*] Skillful - Each member of the group must desire to play to their class' maximum potential. Whether this be because you are a great player or spend your time researching how to be, and can execute it with precision, matters not. You must be the kind of person who pushes the envelope in the gaming world, can evolve and adapt to an ever-changing gaming environment, and strive to be a pioneer. Taking risks is part of the game too.
[*] Motivated - What we want is someone who is self-motivated to make accomplishments of value to self and others. Initiative goes hand-in-hand with this idea and as an player, we prefer you to be passionate about success and driven to discover possibilities. If you enjoy leading, this might just be your home. Sheep need not apply.
