I don't know what to think about this game. The art style looks impressive. But the amount of fanservice seems excessive. I want to play it, but not around other people... and I don't want other people to know I'm playing it.

Well you don't have much of a choice then, you can't play it because you will have the achievements/trophies on your account marking you for life. Is this the first Suda51 game you've ever played?

From the looks of it. Yes, it probably would be. The only one on that list I've really heard of is Lollipop Chainsaw, and I haven't played that one.

The only games of his I played was no more heroes. And his works. They are an experience. From what I hear of his other games they all are like that.
You won't always get a "good" game by normal standards. But they are always an amazing "Experience."
