I think you should actually play the game before getting mad about the ending Maz. The journey is epic and the ending leaves a lot of room for interpretation. I'm not saying the ending as it is now is great. But the other 98% of the game was fantastic. And the theories the community have come up with about the ending are pretty neat.
This. I'm still only about halfway done, because I've been making an effort to split my free time between numerous things (and all time with ME3 this weekend was MP). But this is pretty much the line I've heard from every person who didn't like the ending. I haven't seen it all, but I have to say that the journey to the point I'm at has probably been the most epic gaming experience I have had.
I think something it is really important to note is that a lot of the plot threads are finished up as you go, not with the ending. We all expected endings that would vary wildly according to our choices, and I don't think that's unfair. The plot varies some, according to how many readiness points you earn, and according to one specific paragon/renegade choice (that you don't make if you don't import a ME2 save). Definitely fair to want something else, but for the most part the plot threads existing from old games and the lore are very tidily finished, and with pretty interesting options on the player's part that
will go back to your choices for the last two games.
And just remember. Playing the game will get you some Thresher Maw vs. Reaper action...

Back to multiplayer talk:
Yup most vangaurds are really annoying. Charging around and nova spamming everything is fine on bronze (though annoying as hell to your team) But that does not really fly in silver or above. As part of my goal to promote every squad I was dreading vangaurd. I decided to use my Asari after level 14 or so when I started doing silver. I gave her a Geth Plasma shotty and a Carnifax. I could have played her like my adept and just been stasis spammer but decided to go heavy load out so she was not too biotic.
Worked out good. I used charge defensively rather than offensively in case someone had something on top of them or I need to get across the map, just mixing in some stasis.
I have seen some solid Vanguards, who knew when to charge and when not to (and actually bothered to load something other than a shotgun, so they weren't useless when in medium range). But the problem of screen shaking persists. I was in a group with 2 Vanguards and 2 Infiltrators. It just wasn't fun for the 2 of us, because we could barely line up shots--the screen was always shaking.
