So, we have the Humble Indie Bundle pumping out bundles constantly, and lately we've had the Indie Royale bundle, and now we've got the Indie Gala bundle!

What scares me is that these sites all look almost identical, meaning that either there's only one indie web designer out there, or the same guy has such a hard-on for bundles that he couldn't keep himself from owning three domains about them.

I went to buy it and the Paypal page it links to seems to be in Italian. Smiley: dubious Maybe I'll hold off on this one.

It's obviously an offer you can't refuse.

Average price is $1.29 with over 15,000 bundles sold.

I wonder if all these bundles aren't running counter to their intended purpose. People who give generously can't afford to give generously every 15 minutes when a new bundle rolls out. People who are cheap-asses can afford to be cheap-asses for every bundle. These things will be running where it's not worth anyone's time.

(Edit: At 18,000+ it's now a whopping $1.32)

If their purpose is to get these developers some attention and the charity thing is just a gimmick, then I'd say it's working out reasonably well. If they intend to make any actual money, though, they're failing pretty hard at it. There's just no feel of "oh, what a great deal!" anymore. It's "oh, another bundle full of ****** indie games", since all the quality ones have already been bundled.
