And the purpose of the program isn't to recruit random people you don't know, it's for you to actually bring in friends who will then subscribe and give both of you a bonus.
Posting the link on a GAMING forum isn't going to do anything--we all know about Rift, and there are plenty of people we KNOW from around here that play. If it comes down to using the RAF program, we are going to go with our friends (or at least fellow posters) over the random people that wander on in just to blatantly advertise for their own benefit.
So here's a question for you--do you think it's rude to come into an online community and, without any kind of introduction or attempt to be constructive within the group, post a self-serving link? Well, if you don't, many of us do.
The link isn't only self serving, i plan to help these players ho take my link and actually play (hence why i put my server and faction) so no, i don't think its rude. Since i cant get any of my friends to play Rift because WoW has stolen their souls i thought i would offer a chance to make a friend, get some perks, and try a really fun game :) It would be one thing if i presented it in a rude or disrespectful manner, but i didn't. I greeted everyone and gave an explanation of the program and offered any help, as well as offering a review to anyone who doesn't know about rift. These forums are public and i have never been disrespectful so no, its no rude.
Whats rude is claiming that since im new i have a restriction about what im allowed to say and what im not. I never said someone ISN'T allowed to post something in the post i created, i simply asked them to be courteous and respectful. I dont really wanna pull the freedom of speech card but your trying to back me into a corner here.
Anyways,Have a good day everyone! XD
