I want to preface this by saying that I'm a lifetime member, but I haven't played in years, so I'm going to have some very noob questions about parts of the game I probably wont see for months, please don't feel the need to spare your criticism, I'd rather get the right details and feel like an idiot than be happily ignorant.
Please point out where my assumptions are incorrect.
After reading several Legendary Item FAQs and guides, I've surmised that there are three kinds of legendary weapons, First Age, Second Age, and Third Age.
Third Age have the least amount of points to spend ranking up legacies, and First Age have the most.
There are relics, (settings, gems and runes) that can be associated with (placed in?) these weapons. My question: does every legendary item have a slot for one setting, one gem and one rune, or is this something that varies?
Legendary items come unidentified, all you see on them is their description and the DPS? and upon identification they gain 2-4 legacies? Is this random, or do different level/age items have different chances to get certain numbers/types of legacies?
Upon reforging, legendary weapons gain additional legacies on the first three reforges? Does this mean that the mx number of legacies a weapon can get is 4+1+1+1 = 7 (plus the DPS as a legacy as a default) so 8 in total?
I see that the level requirement for 2nd and 3rd age seems to vary from 58 to 65, but first age only come with level reqs of 60, I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting this as a level requirement... I know that theres a level required to equip/associate, the item's level, the rank of a legacy and that legacies tier, so it seems counter-intuitive to me that a 1st age weapon would have a lower required level to equip than a 3rd age one, thats why I think I've got the whole mess confused.
Do legacy weapons have any additional modifiers on them besides the legacies, relics and title? Or is a 1st age warden's spear going to look exactly like every other 1st age wardens spear until you identify it, then after identification the only things that will be different is the 2-4 legacies that were rolled?
Assuming I'm actually in a position to get a legendary weapon do I need to worry about anything other than what type it is, what age it is, and the legacies I get on it? (because everything else can be changed, like how the points are distributed, what relics are in it and what title it has?)
Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer these questions. Also on a side note, are there any better sites to check out for lotro info (I'm especially interested on hwo the loot generation/dropping works)
Thanks!
