I sub-ed for 2-3 months a few different times and am coming back now that it's F2P and I'm just sick of WoW. The time I stayed sub-ed for the longest was when playing with a co-worker, and he's coming back with me - so we're hoping to make it through that lvl 16-20 grind that we've always hit (pie deliveries...ugh).
Anyway, my friend is wanting to roll a burglar and I am looking for something that will pair well with it. My concerns are that he may not be able to play as much as I, so I'd need something I can solo with as well (I may just end up farming mats when he's offline so I don't get too far ahead).
Obviously, I want to play something I can have fun with as well and that we could run some dungeons with and not have an impossible time joining together (so I figure we shouldn't BOTH be burglars). The best way I can think to explain what classes/builds I've enjoyed playing in WoW would be on a 5 pt scale:
Ret Paladin (mana based melee dps) - 5
Prot Warrior (rage based tank) - 4.5
Hunter (pet and ranged DPS) - 4
Rogue (stealthy DPS) - 4
Holy Paladin (tank heals) - 3.5
Prot Paladin (mana based tank) - 3.5
Arms Warrior (rage based melee dps) - 3.5
Shadow Priest (caster DoT DPS) - 3
Holy Priest (heals) - 3
Mage (caster ranged DPS) - 2
It's pretty obvious I've enjoyed melee DPS the most...and typically heavy armor wearers as well. With this in mind, I've been looking at rolling a Champion, but it sounds to me like the mechanic operates more like a Arms Warrior from WoW rather than a Ret Paladin...and I wasn't much of a fan of Arms Warriors. Am I mistaken on this assumption? Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like something that I can ease into, but doesn't necessarily have to be a face-roll...just not wanting to have to do something as challenging as a Feral Druid just yet.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
