I'm spending the week with my girlfriend, and she's told me to either bring the PS3, or the Wii, so long as we have some games we can play together.

Now, I've got Wii Sports, and Wii resort etc, Mario Kart Wii, and on the PS3 I've got LittleBigPlanet, but I can't think of any other good 2 player games we could play, that she would enjoy.

So any suggestions?

Based on your list, I'm guessing she doesn't like shooters? Or maybe you don't? If I'm wrong, there's always Borderlands or maybe Resistance 2(and, of course, Army of Two). If not, you might consider New Super Mario Bros Wii.

Beyond that, you might try downloading a bunch of Minis off the PSN if you can find some 2P ones.

Edit: If your PS3 is PS2 compatible, you might consider Gauntlet: Dark Legacy if you can find it.

Postpone the visit till Aug 10 and download the Scott Pilgrim 2D side-scroller and play that, or you can bring Madden with you. >.>

PS3 co-op games that a girlfriend might like: Sacred 2 (only if you have a large TV, like >42" or you sit really close. I play on a 37" and the text hurts my eyes and I have good vision.), Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, RE5 has a pretty highly rated co-op experience. I couldnt get my wife to play with me tho. LEGO series games are good MP games and the lego harry potter just came out.

Perfect Dark for the N64 is one of the greatest co-op games ever. Unfortunately, it's not out for Wii VC yet, so you'd have to have a 64 to play it :(.

IMHO, Smash Bros. is the end-all-be-all of multiplayer goodness among friends. It's also pretty easy to get into for beginners. Though I'm not crazy about the Wii version.

As far as online multiplayer goes, it's all COD:MW2 for me. That game is like crack. That is, unless they ever release that Warhawk sequel...

New Super MArio Wii was a terrible Multiplayer game I thought. Just makes the game more difficult because your constantly running into each other, bouncing of each other, etc. Its an ok single player game although it may as well just been on the Nintendo DS. I don't regret paying $25 for it.

Eh, in the end we were stuck with Sonic allstar racing. Sweet FA choice for my PS3 in blockbuster!

In the end we went to town and bought mario kart double dash, a second hand gamecube controller, and Billy Hatcher for her gamecube, played those as well as Pikmin, and Sonic Adventure 1 and 2.
