I really should have posted this earlier. Direct2Drive has been doing a Spring Sale the last 3 weeks. Each week they had some really good deals, but this week's are the best I've seen so far.

A Mass Effect 1 & 2 bundle for $35 (ME2 by itself is still $50) and Fallout 3 for $15 top my list. There's a number of other strategy and MMO games that I'm not interested in myself, but they're good prices. Aion for $25, Guild Wars Nightfall for $15... Well, check it out for yourselves.

(Note: for some reason, that page doesn't align properly in Firefox, but still works. Just a pain to find the proper links. First time in years I've used IE...)

i went with titan quest and defense grid at $5 each. now those icons can look pretty next to moo, moo2, sacred, kotor, wow, hl2, torchlight, and psychonauts in that little unused corner of my desktop.

on a side note, wtf does win7 put that stupid frigging arrow in every icon? i went as far as to hunt down program files and find the original icon, and today the little arrows are back. grrrrrrr.

It's a shortcut arrow, you neanderthal.

It's been a part of windows for as long as I can remember, at least through XP.

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-shortcut-icon-arrow-overlay-in-windows-vista/ That might work for you.

yeah in xp you could just pull the .ico from the .exe and it would go away though. i think i'm gonna go with the method that changes the arrow to a blank overlay, it seems like it confuses windows just a little less.
