I finally got off my butt and bought the game. It is a purchase I wish I would have made a while back. I just have one question for anyone that has played it before. I am currently at the escort part and it is completely killing my desire to finish the game. Is there an easier way to keep the little sisters alive other than standing next to her and waiting for the citizens to come and attack her? First time I did it I made a really dumb mistake and had my camouflage skill equipped. :l

Oh another question, will the effect of the proximity mines damage her? If not I might just dump a mine right on top of her and let the citizens of Rapture kill themselves while they try to attack her?

I think I had to do that escort a couple of times myself before making it through.

I played the game on the normal default difficulty level, I believe. (I always play the normal difficulty first on most games except games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band because my fingers suck and you can unlock most of everything even on easy or the next level up)

From what I remember when I actually got through that part.... I ran around and made sure all of the splicers and such were on me ASAP everytime the little sister stops, then I went hog wild with guns and my freezing wrench. Before this I was just trying to kill one enemy at a time.

I would imagine that is probably what you are doing already though....

I have to comment though on something... I HATED that part... not because of the escorting, but because of the way you have to do it.... in a big daddy suit....it just seemed like I was walking in syrup and everything was in slow motion EXCEPT the enemies.

I haven't played it in a long time, but I seem to recall AoE damage did effect her. So, turn off your your shock/fire defensive plasmids, equip the freeze one & stun the bad guys with cold/shock while mowing them down with Anti-Personnel Machine guns rounds.

Yeah I kinda suck at games like Bioshock to be honest. I will have to give it another go later today and try my luck at turning off all my stuff that makes me go invis / aoe. How much farther after the escort is done before I kick the evil guys butt. Don't need to know details just a rough estimate would be cool. :P

If memory serves, you're pretty much @ the boss after the little sister escort level.

Use the crossbow to set the electrical trap wires behind you at the harvest locations.

A couple of the harvest locations have turrets for you to hack to help keep the splicers at bay.

A higher level freeze plasmid (if you got it) can help with crowd control.

Hehe, I finally beat it this morning. It wasn't too bad once I got rid of my cammo (no surprise there). I did end up using my freezing plasmid quite a bit. Found out something, if you use your freezing plasmid on turrets, they are easier to hack. Got that lovely tip after I found out the hard way. :S

Would have made it with one sister but I got a bit of a trigger finger and when I saw something sprint my way, being the cool headed person that I am, I open fired. It dawned on me rather quickly that the person I just pumped several screaming hot bullets into was the same sister I was trying to protect. So I cannot really blame the big daddy for attacking me near the end. :S

The final boss though was a disturbingly easy boss though. Pretty much strafe all the time and he falls. :l I figured something that is suppose to be a master of deception would have put up a better fight. At least he deceived me of how hard he was going to be.
