Okay, so what I had seen so far while my roommate was playing tells me it's awesome.

Them casting Kevin Sorbo as Hercules? That made it epic.

Reason enough for me.

I picked it up today after only playing the demo (well, I played the demo 3 times). I passed on the Unlimited edition although this is one of the few games where the extra/limited/unlimited edition actually interested me (soundtrack, Pandora's box replica.. etc).

I have never had a bad experience with a GOW title and I am looking forward to getting home from work and tearing up some monsters.

Still playing FFXIII... maybe in a few weeks I'll pick it up.

Just a small hint about the action.

before you could have only like say a dozen or so enemies at one time onscreen.

new one you can have 50 or so all around trying to chew your *** off.

For those planning on playing it, get into the habit of blocking and parrying, you're going to need to be good at it for the final boss. Also, lame ending was lame.

Was the ending anything like this?

Hmm, actually, I wouldn't mind taking out the Christian God in the next one.

Not having played any of the GoW games, I'm not sure how stupid what I'm posting is.

Aren't the Norse gods a very likely target for someone's ire next? I don't suppose it could be Kratos, but maybe some viking renegade instead.

Or is GoW not GoW without Kratos?

It really isn't. I mean, it could be a GoW spin off, but I'm not sure if the GoW mythos would allow for the addition of other pantheons.

That said, there's still room for another prequel, so I wouldn't say that the series is completely done as of yet, but I think it would be rather difficult to work in a sequel to the game that doesn't go off the everloving deep end(like, Kratos is resurrected in the year 2050 to deal with an alien invasion or some such nonsense).

It's not GoW without a pantheon that actually has a GoW position. My guess would be the Hindu deities with someone replacing Shiva as the Destroyer.

Attention... spoilers are spoilers for a reason... don't highlight them unless you have finished GoW2 AND GoW3...

According to the first GoW's treasure room video (one of them, I think) it said something about how Kratos has a brother (not Hades) that grew up in the Underworld and that they didn't have time to include him in the first game but they would like to in the second....

Most of us knows that he doesn't show up in the second game either... or even in the third... but I 'think' I read a note in the Underworld in GoW3 that mentioned him.... so maybe they could make a spin-off that has his brother doing something... but all-in-all... I think the franchise is done even considering the blood trail at the end of GoW3...
