I just bought this game and am currently downloading the client. I read DX10 was added in the past and am wondering if the client I am downloading has DX10 graphics or if it's like Lord of the Rings Online where it has it's own client that I need to download.
Also, what is a good and active Eve forum? I love this site but it doesn't quite seem to be the most active for Eve players. I tried the official forum but it requires I wait 72 hours before I can even post there.

I also have a few other questions after playing for a short time. I recall when I played with a trial account a year or so ago, the tutorial spoke to me. I'm undergoing the tutorial now and there is no voice reading the text. It's a minor annoyance and makes me think something is wrong since I can remember the tutorial previously. Also, is there a way to make the text larger? It's somewhat difficult to read at 1920x1080.
I don't know about the tutorial since I did mine back in 2008 when I first started playing for real.
DirectX 10 was added in the patch that also included a revamp of model designs (not the planets). They later removed the DirectX 10 and replaced it with DirectX 9 again, if I recall the patch notes correctly.
Maybe someone else can confirm/deny this.
