New King's Bounty GameFollow

I've never played the series, nor have I ever played a Heroes of Might and Magic game, but I read a review and saw some footage of this game and it looks like it might be fun. Sooooo do i ever get to fight WITH my chick? or is she just a leader?

I've answered my own questions with google. Im disappointed :( No you cant play as the princess, which makes me regret choosing warrior, since it appears a mage would actually have an active roll in the battles, whereas warrior advantage is more leadership and troop bonuses.

Also, your pet dragon continues to look like Stitch for the entire game. A gameplay video i saw said that it would turn into a 'full fledged dragon'. Guess they cut that bit at release. >_<
