For anyone who's interested, this game came out a few months ago and I've been playing it since its beta. It's a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game akin to DotA and it's pretty darn fun. My name is snowstriker on the game and they have a friend referral system that if I refer a certain amount of people and they get to level 10 or above then I get goodies! One of the prizes even involves going to their HQ and designing a champion with them! Would be very good seeing as I'm a Game Design major! If anyone's interested hit the link! The game is completely free by the way!

Well, I've heard that if you're into roleplaying, Fasaria may not be for you.

Right, cause Dota with better graphics and a map made by a 10 year old in MS paint is worth 30 dollars.

What the hell is the DotA thing everyone talks about? It really that hard to use the full name?

It is. I already went through this topic some time ago.

Heroes of Newerth is the game most similar to dota. In fact, it is a rather shameless dota clone. There are several units in HoN ripped straight from dota. Originality is clearly lacking, but that isn't really a problem. Dota is a very well designed and balanced game. The only flaw with Dota is that it is limited by capabilities of Warcraft 3. HoN fixes the only real problem dota ever had by just building dota outside Warcraft 3. Because they do this they bring years of resources, ideas, and concepts poured into dota to their game. The units in HoN are very interesting to play and well balanced.

Defense of the Ancients. Why should people use the full name when the acronym serves the exact same purpose? Why are you too lazy to google. Why would you think knowing the full name would give you any more information that you already had?

Because I hate acronyms. Especially acronyms I'm not familiar with.

Well, it's kinda free right now. And do explain how you can talk about something made by a 10 year old in MS paint with the graphics LoL has.

Now that I have a name to work with, I see that it's a PC game. I don't really play PC games. You can't really lean back and relax if you have to mess around with a mouse and keyboard.

Right, because the graphics of HoN where you can barely figure out whats going on in the map due to the fact that all the colors are similar. LoL graphics are cartoony, but atleast you can tell who is who, all you get is a colored dot in HoN. I'm not saying it isnt a good game, I enjoy it, but i just cant give complete credit for a game that is a exact copy of Dota that looks newer.

In several notable ways, WC3 has better graphics than LoL - the animations, for example, are smoother in the former. I wouldn't get this because I'm not all that big a fan of DotA style gameplay.

I suppose I can respect your opinion then. I personally don't have a problem with the colors in HoN, and found LoL to not only be overly cartoony, but the background graphics just weren't as good, even on the highest setting. I also think I didn't care for the interface, and have been quite happy with my DotA clone.
