STO Beta Key FAILFollow

#1 Jan 12 2010 at 8:09 PM Rating: Sub-Default
Registered for Prem on ZAM. For the Open Beta Key of which they are offering right now. Recieved my key and its for the closed beta. Its great to know a site like this will still ***** you. Hope someone knows more info or can fix this issue.

1) Wrong *** forum.
2) My closed beta key transferred over and I'm now in the open beta. I registered the key yesterday, the day after closed beta ended (although a day before open beta technically started).
3) If you had read the thread already talking about STO before coming here with your 3 posts and ********* you would have known that the keys were for closed beta and would have been able to make the decision to take the risk or not.

If you haven't tried downloading the game yet and logging in, then you should do that before you come here and ***** to a bunch of people who couldn't care less about you or your problems.

edit: I see point 3 is slightly invalidated by the fact that you posted at the end of the thread. However, you seem to have not actually read the thread based on the post, so point 3 is actually twice as valid.

So, did you try it (or are downloading the client)? Because Cryptic has said that all closed beta accounts automatically got into the open beta. And I'm 95% sure that this applies to unused keys as well. Zam probably didn't change their site probably because open beta just started today, and/or because it doesn't actually matter.

#5REDACTED, Posted: Jan 12 2010 at 8:36 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I am Dling the client. I registered the key on STO site and its a closed key. Do you input these keys in the Client? or is there more steps after you input it on the site in the open beta?

I'm pretty sure I entered it just in the website, and then signed up for an account. What page did you get after entering the key?

Just checked, mine says the exact same (and nothing else), so yours will almost certainly work.
