Well, I just downloaded and played the demo and if you replaced Dante with Kratos, and Hell with the Underwold, you wouldn't know you weren't play God of War. The game play is practically identical.
You have:
A heavy slow attackA light fast attackCan double jump Can string to together attacks for combosDodge with the left stick, move with the right.Fill up a rage meter that you activate by pressing the two shoulder buttons. There are green and purple fountains that you tap B to use to fill your health and Mana. To upgrade your attacks and learn new combos you collect souls from defeated enemies to spend as you see fit. You even get magic spells to play with.On top of all of that, you even get the mini game random button combo finishing moves on larger mobs.
Basically, if you've played God of War, you'll feel right at home in Hell. The graphics are impressive, and the game definitely earned it's M rating with graphic violence and nudity. One bit I liked was that flashback scenes are done in a rather interesting anime style, which is also pretty much what they did in the first God of War game.
I rather liked it and will probably pick up the game when it's released, even if it is just a Christian version of GoW.
