non tradeables, RL cash, and a ruined economy Follow

Warning: The following post is a rant and long one.

I was reading the post about the new vehicles being non tradeable and it got me thinking about how fuct this game is. Now I was never one to jump on the TCG bandwagon of tears, I always considered myself beyound that, I don't value asthetic things so much as the new vehicles and neat houses but what I always like alot about SWG was selling legit things and making honest credits which is becoming a thing of the past now that the TCG is here.

SOE obviously doesn't care about being fair to its actual fans, the ones who have carried this retarded monkey called a game on their backs, hoping for a better tommorow and paying the Dev salaries for six years. This dying group of players, the ones who refuse to invest RL cash into their card "game" is considered a bunch of invalids by the SOE corporation, if your not paying for the TCG, then your a second class citizen in this game, made to scrounge and scavenge for 1 million creds a week, if your lucky.

You and your measly $15 a month can take a hike for all SOE is concerned. The real "fans", the ones who pay out the *** for TCG loot cards are SOE's only concern

if the new vet "rewards" were tradable.. if the free packs a month were tradable..instead of only the payed for ones...
- See SOE does not want this because if you were able to trade these things then you would be lifted up to the elite finacial bracket of players who pay RL cash for the TCG, without you yourself forking out RL cash- you would no longer have this itch to buy TCG packs, (worth 10+ million)which is the only way to make money in this game now as the value of a credit has plummeted by a thousand+ fold.

Ok I have nothing against TCG players and all their cool vehicles or whatnot. Vehicles and neat looking houses are of no matter to me. What I do have a problem with is trying to make credits to buy PvP grade 35 armor in this busted economy without having to resort paying RL cash, and thats exactly what the TCG is but under this guise of a "card game", SoE are now the credit brokers that game developers so despise.

Doing things like crafting or legitimate money making schemes in this game are of old. you may make a couple million in 1 week but when things like PvP armor cost upwards of 30+ million your best bet is just to go buy some TCG packs instead of hoping you sell something legit into a economy thats been even more shattered by over supply from transfered from servers-

-all supply and no demand- (everyone transfering to Bria, trying to sell old vet rewards, only to have its original population transfer to starsider and no one buys the transferees items that continue to pile up driving down their price down into the thousands range when originally they were worth 5-10 mil) all supply no demand -drives the value of your legitimate items for sell even lower while the TCG raises the prices of anything exotic or worth while because the TCG has flooded the market with billions of credits from korean farmers that only TCGers can obtain by selling the things they bought with RL cash from the shady credit brokers of SOE themselves.

1 million credits in this game is now considered chump change when 2-5 years it was considered rich. If your not dealing in the 100's of millions of credits range, that get "earned" while "playing" the TCG, when trading, your just a scrub- most likely a non-TCG buying, sub-paying-only, resource scavenging, junk loot selling invalid, as far as SOE is concerned if your not buying their TCG they can do without your $15 cheap ***.

Same thing happens in every game in existence.

AS for the TCG, if people are stupid enough to buy virtual trading cards, more power to SOE to sell them to these people, quite frankly they would be stupid not too.

The list of things nonTCG that I do see selling are small this is what I have sold so far:

Restuss Comms = 20k+ each
Fish tank components = 750k-3mil
Copper-OQ900+/conduct900+ = 1000CPU
spotting a new player in SWG - priceless

well thats about it. being that fishing is the most tedious, fustrating chore in game without an easy way to automate it that i know of it keeps the supply low and demand high for tank components. most ppl don't know the fishing tricks to garuntee you reel it in which i think were written somewhere on this sight eons ago but the tricks still work today. (involving shallow water)if only i could fish in restuss
its kind of goofy that fishing is now the most lucrative nonTCG buisiness aside from modding armor but ppl do love those fish tanks i guess

fishing in restuss, you mean people there want to do something other than shoot each other.. i can't understand all this tcg business, though i've seen and put on ignore, the spammers at the starports touting the stuff...i did try and play the tcg game though, and i have to say, i failed at it, badly, guess i just didnt get it. i dont buy the stuff thats about now though, i have gear thats probably years old, mostly crafted from when i used to be a weaponsmith... yeah, i dont have millions :(

i played around with my free packs and yea its kind of fun when nothing else to do or waiting at a stim base. it wasnt something i look forward to every day and draw pictures of at night. the problem i have is all this no trade except for the ppl who buy the packs who can trade any card loot or gamecard- when we can't trade our free ones, or a possible reward thats hardly ever there, were forced into a lower financial bracket than the players who can trade the ones they bought- essentially they bought credits from SoE in a loopholish way which does nothing for a games economy or for the players who don't buy credits. this new trend of the no trade on our vet rewards doesn't allow us to move financially higher and as vets we should be able to do that. SOE has figured out that if they give us vet items that are tradeable- we won't go out to buy their credits AKA card packs. i have no use for some painting someone with credits i need may love to look at but oh well.

for those of you wondering why no trade exists, its about RL cash.
