I started using a controller, and it's made some things a ton easier.

I think I'm at around 153 deaths. I've gotten to level 9 a couple times, but the tunnel builder hasn't appeared for me, so I'm stuck starting at level 5 every time for now.

I had no idea you built the tunnel over successive games. I've spent hours playing this game now, and by far the two best things are the jetpack and being able to Mario-stomp enemies.

I prided myself on using frogs to bounce myself across large chasms, till I realized that shift was run.

I made it to level 13 once, only thanks to a jetpack. It was a flare level, I walked about three squares left, and was killed by a bee spitting mummy.

I loled.

This exact thing happened to me. Those mummies get me every time.

Think of the cost as a debt to pay off. You only have to reach a new bracket once, then on every successive pass through to those levels (5,9,13) you will see the shortcut guy, give him whatever gold you have on you whenever you pass him, and you will slowly pay for the shortcut. I think they're priced at 100k 200k and 300k for each. I finally built the first shortcut when I hit about 200 deaths, now, at about 500 deaths, I've built the second.

Holy crap that's a lot of deaths.

Oh, and SS from previous run.

Shotgun to the face or bomb. It's the only way to make sure.

I also managed to crush one under a block. Smiley: lol This game is definitely amusing, if only for all the different ways you can die. I made it to the last level once, and died immediately.

Ouch, lol. By the by, if you do Alt+Print Screen, it'll only capture the current window in focus, rather than the entire screen (so you don't need to keep cropping out the other stuff).

I finally beat this damned game. 364 plays, 363 deaths, 1 win. Somehow I doubt if I'll stay away from it for long, though.
