I have been playing Aion for a little over a week and a half now. I think it is a good game and very interesting. I love the skill chains and the total customization. It is definately a great change from World of Warcraft. However, I am so completely lost. I do not know much about the game so I am confused, wondering what levels I am aiming for. I know that the cap is level 50 but that is not my goal. I love to do instances and raids and I am wondering when does this happen? I guess all in all I am wondering what does Aion bring to the table that I can't get from WoW expect the customization and the skill chains? Any comments would be greatly appreciated and thanks anyways.

Instances start happening at lvl 25. Im sure if your in a endgame you can start raiding at 25 when you get to go to the abyss. As for what Aion brinds to the table that you cant get from wow. I have no clue. Not knocking WoW but I have never and will never play it.

yeah I'm also a bit confused. I am level 30 now. finished BC, LC, NTC, and FT now.. but I don't see anyone else in LFG lfm for any kind of other instances or dungeons.. so....? wth? There are people on my server that are nearing 50, possibly even 50 already. A lot of folks in these forums and those from my fav MMO FFXI knock WoW, but seriously there are plenty of fun instances that drop great gear starting @10 all the way til 80. Is this game just incomplete or am I missing something?

Don't get me wrong, I like this game.. just wondering as the op is, what the hell is the point? PvP?

I don't know what the acronyms mean for stuff like BC, LC, NTC, and FT. I see people asking for groups for that and never know what they are talking about. I'm assuming they are instances beyond my level?

I've had a serious case of alt-happiness. I have 4 on one server on Asmodian side, and 3 on another. Just been trying out the different classes to see what I like, none of them are past level 18. My first month ran up yesterday, and I renewed for another month, albeit tentatively. With several new games coming out for the 360 I'm not sure how much time I'll have for this one, and it may end up being my last month.

It's a decent seeming game and all, it just hasn't really sucked me in, at least so far.

BC=Black Claw (group quests in Verteron) Level 17-20
NTC=Nochsana Training Camp (Reshanta, group instance) 25-28
FT=Fire Temple (entrance in Eltnen at Kyola Temple, group instance) 30-40

I have no idea what LC is. :)

It's all the Krall quests you get, have no idea where the term Black Claw originated.

Black Claw quests are Asmo, in Altgard. Equivalent to the Krall quest line in Verteron.

Sorry about the earlier post that said they were in Verteron. Doing ALL the quests on both sides, I get confused sometimes. :)

RE: Op

I have two toons at level 50 Templar and Sorc in Aion, if your interested in raiding and instances this will not be the game for you.... end of story.

The truth is at level 50 there is little to do content wise , your basicly going to do two instances Dark Poeta or Dredgion (sp?) with dred being basicly broken content where you are either training mobs on the other faction until they quit and them doing the same thing to you.

Raid wise there is no organized raiding content along the lines of WoW / Everquest or whatever MMO your comming from. The only content they have along these lines are world bosses that are seriously single or two group content at max, with the itemization being broken on top of these issues. The world bosses in the basic form equals extraction fodder for enchantments.

Fortress / Siege events if you want to consider these raid content are basicly zerg fests and laggy. This all being server side and a known issue. This making the content damn near pointless if not even counter productive due to the fact that some campaigns require the other side to have control of said fort for you to complete the quest lines. Also taking into consideration the main source of AP at end game is fortress guards.

So in close if your honestly after a game that has instances or raiding content , seriously pick another mmo now.

So is this game dead yet? I heard patch 1.9 made a lot of improvements.

Not trolling, serious question. Might want to check it out again.
